Take away only (unfortunately), but as we live locally, it's very convenient for us :)
Affordable, always fresh and very tasty. Chips are usually cooked to perfection. And unlike other Fish & chips places around, here they always have my favourite fish Rock :)
The owners are friendly and provide an exceptionally good & efficient service.
There is usually a small queue of people waiting to be served and for their orders to be freshly cooked :)
Top spot for a good quality fish & chips!
We ordered a cod, a haddock and a large chips.
The chips were amazing, crispy, browned well with a lovely chippy depth to its flavour
The haddock was also delicious.
Unfortunatly the cod smelt of strong ammonia inside, and did not taste fresh at all. It was really awful, hence the 3 stars.
Please owners fix your quality, as reading through reviews it does seem there is some consistency issues
Fish far from fresh, presumably from frozen, chips pretty poor, battered sausage just about edible.
Overall, bloody awful. Would not recommend.
I lived around the area now for 3 years never have I tried this fish and chip shop. Iv read reviews, some good and some bad but I thought I’d give it a try.
I read on one of the the comments the fish smelt...Well the person wasn’t lying! I’ve never had fish like this in my life. I could tell the cod had been frozen, it had a frozen watery taste/ smell once you bit into it. My wife also tasted her cod and nearly puked up. The batter was like pulling an old carpet tile up it was stuck to the fish it taste like rubber. The fish texture was so mooshy, we both had one bit and threw it in the bin.
Will 100% use again.
