Chips are never cooked and full of grease and are always a brown colour which suggests dirty oil. Some of the food is ok but they really need to learn how to cook the chips. I wont be eating here anymore as I'm just wasting money on food that just gets thrown away

Greasy food. Terrible quality. Don't allow you to put any salt or vinegar on your chips or ask whether you would like it wrapped up or open. Walked out with food in a carrier bag despite wanting to eat it on the go. Opened the bag ate 1 chip and threw the rest of the entire order in the bin.
My gherkin looked like it had been pickling since the war (the first one) it was white in colour for some reason...

If I had a choice of eating chips from here or eating my own arms, let's just say I'd be no good in a Mexican wave.

What a shame. Used to be brilliant but new owners are a bit hectic. The same guy cooks the fish, then runs over to the wrap, then starts serving someone. Keep him cooking, then the other guy makes the wraps and chicken, and the third serves the chips. Badly managed but they are trying. Gone down a star but still 3 stars as food is still somewhat good quality (when it's in stock). Can't help but feel new local competition is going to seriously affect custom. A shame as I've been using this place since I was a child. From my experience in the food industry there's too much competition to not be better.

Great little local chippy.. best around.. great variety of well cooked fresh food. New owners have really stepped up the quality.. forget your dirty little Lankan chicken shops, the frying pan has the best hot wings around.. 5 star

Don't waste your money ordered takeaway kabab roll not worth £4.70 no salad meat cold and dry. Quarter pounder and cheese no salad. Burger dry £4.70 bottle of coke rrp 2.29 cost £3 chips were wrank new owners just trying to rip you. Off. Old owners when they had the shop was much better. Save your money

Best local chippy around, a new one opened across the street from this so I thought i'd write a review to encourage people to stick with the one that's been here the entire time i've lived nearby. It's amazing and im kind of upset they stopped doing the chicken donner meat a couple of years ago, the chicken wings dipped in quality and are a bit fatty and grisley now but still decent.

Other than that absolutely no complaints, everything else ive had from there (and i've had quite a range of stuff from the menu over my 21 years living nearby) is the best ive ever tried. Saveloy is pork and is amazing, which seems to be getting rarer to have a pork one in any other chippy. Definitely recommend trying spam fritter and the mars in batter.

The new owners are really nice and even tho they may seem a bit hectic they're very fast and never seem to get an order wrong from what ive seen so far, so as long as i stay nearby i'll definitely be supporting them and not the competition that just opened across the road.

Been going since I was a kid. Even with the new owners, they've been friendly and always chat. Still a good price for the food and variety. Haven't had any issues at all. Lovely food and will continue to go here.

Just ordered on Uber eats. Chips were no way fresh. Re heated from lunch time no doubt. Steak and kidney pie overcooked. Don't bother ordering from here. Took ages to arrive too.
