Harnham Fish Bar

Went back after nearly a year after buying a burger and chips to share with a friend and found the burger cold and soggy and the chips either frozen or barely cooked. My friend said they have improved so I decided to get a simple large chips to share with him. The guy behind the counter took the order and soon as I went to pay grabbed the money very fast from my hand giving me barely time to hand it to him. My friend complained about him taking the money like that and the guy simply said pay for what you ordered. My friend doesn't like vinegar so we asked for just salt to be put on the chips we got both. When we got the chips handed to us they didn't even feel warm through the paper. We asked for a fresh replacement portion to be told its what we ordered and they don't replace or refund. We explained that the chips was cold they put vinegar on which wasn't wanted and the approach towards taking money was massively inappropriate. We was told to leave. Won't recommend to anyone even the homeless. Nothing is better than eating here. The food is worse than before when we tried it. Would put no stars if I could.

Simply the worst chips I have ever attempted to eat.
Totally inedible despite being very hungry!
My son and I ordered 2 battered sausages and a large chips to share.
The battered sausages were hard and tasteless and left us both with stomach ache, the chips we could not eat. The looked disgusting and tasted even worse. They were just soggy packages of grease. I do not normally litter but we left those chips on the shop doorstep as a warning to others.

AVOID THIS PLACE!

I ordered from harnham fish bar the other day to be very disappointed. It was the WORST chippy I’ve ever had in my life I would give them minus 5 stars if it had the option. I received 1 of the 2 large chips I ordered not that it would have made a difference as the whole lot went in the bin, the chicken nuggets were like rubber, the pie was stale, the chicken portion was so dry it could not be chewed! When I emailed and complained they were more interested in saying they won the award for best chip shop in Wiltshire 2021 rather than caring about my complaint. They insisted food is cooked fresh and that is a complete lie even my 9 year old knew it was not fresh!!! Customer service was diabolical with only offering money back for chips! They will never have my custom ever again. I would be embarrassed to serve food in that condition I’m surprised it’s not been closed down from food poisoning.

My son ordered from you last night both him and me have now got food poisoning the chips didn’t taste very nice and they weren’t cut they were more like fritters very disappointed you are normally very good I won’t order from you anymore.

Soggy mushy chips. The batter on the fish tasted weird and was not crispy.

The only thing nice about my meal was the tartare sauce and vinegar.

Awful food turned up late what we got was very below average, felt like the food was slapped together no love nor what I ordered. Forgot my can of drink. I wouldnt bother waste of time
