Molly’s fish ‘n’ chip shop

If I had an option to put 0 stars I would've.
The cod was pathetic how small and skinny it was. Never seen such a tiny piece of cod in all my years of eating fish and chips.
And I got left with a horrible greasy after taste in my mouth!

Ridiculously priced. It was tasty, but this plate of large fish and chips alone cost £15.50. The peas, Coke and tarte sauce were an extra £4. So in total, £19.50 for everything you see in this picture. I feel like I've been cheated to be honest.

I run a lunch club at The Salvation Army and the elderly folk fancied fish and chips. We ordered 20 childrens portions and the amount was amazing for elderly people. Very tasty, plenty of fish pieces and lovely chips. Totally recommend and the service was very friendly, open and welcoming. Brilliant all round.

Bought my fish and chips here last week-end after reading an article online describing the place as "one of the best chip shop...".
Food was average, pricey and served by the most unpleasant girl.
I'll go back to my usual.

Greasy batter, fish rather dry so obviously not very fresh. All a bit flabby and flat. You can get better fish nearby. Pretty disappointed.

Great fish and chips

Update on my previous review:

today the fish was cold oily! When entered the shop another customer was already waiting before me! I was given my order on spot from already prepared fish, and on my way out I could hear the guy on the counter telling the customer "I will made fresh one"!
I didn't give much attention because food was always good from Molly but today Im dissapointed!

Was quite disgusted with a staff member who saw a dog outside the shop went out to stroke the dog, all this while I stood waiting to be served, and to come back in and serve customers without washing his hands. His name is Ben. Very unprofessional with other staff members too. His uniform was filthy too. Needs a good wash.

So happy to have found a great chippy. It's a short drive from central Woking, but worth it. Good prices in comparison to other chip shops. Always hot & fresh in my experience. In the 5 times I've used Molly's it has always been very good food.
