Pilling Chippy

Called at this chippy for dinner on a ride out was nicely surprised great fish & chips and a side for £4 what a bargain very very nice food. The guy who runs it is friendly good all round service cheers guys Caz &baz

Food was okay to be fair and always has been whenever I’ve visited. However disappointed with the value tonight, order 2 large haddock at £6.75 each and 2 chips, 2 sides. When ready I was given the bag which didn’t seem to have the sides in so I asked if they were and no surprise, the lady had forgotten them. However when getting home the large haddock was definitely not large and was no bigger than the haddock served to the customer before me who paid £4.50 for his. Nice chippy and would not put anybody off visiting but it will be a while before I go back.

Was told order would take 15 minutes: took over half an hour. As I was leaving, noticed my scampi wasn't there and was told, 'I'll put it in now.'
I said I thought I'd been overcharged (£24). They checked and saw I was right (£20), so was told they'd put the money back on my card. Next day, saw I'd been charged twice - £24 AND £20.

Best chippy in the pilling area, great food, great daily deals, lovely friendly staff, highly recommended 5*

To the person serving today, hope you had a nice chat with your friend . Thanks for not even acknowledging us when we walked in. I don't mind if you finish talking but we were there for over a minute and you didn't even look at us.
If you don't want business that's fine we will just walk out like we did.

I honestly was looking forward to see what our new local chippy would be like. Maybe we might not be invisible when we go order in Thorpey's or somewhere else in Garstang.

Excellent food and staff. Perfect and bargain

I met the same fate as other reviewers who turned up post 19:30 to find it closed, but incredibly the staff inside took pity and opened their doors to offer me what they “were about to be put in the bin”. They gave me three portions of chips and three sausages, and wouldn’t take any money for them. They saved my bacon that night, as a tourist camping with two kids down the road. Thank you and all the best. Really canny chips too 👍🏻

Good service, good portion. The chips were very tasty. A little pricey but not at all bad. I'd like to try the kebabs next time. It is difficult to get a good kebab.
