The Master Fryer - Billingshurst

Excellent on-line ordering system. As we have to drive into town to pick up our order, pre-ordering is far better than walking in and having to wait . Our meal was ready right on the dot of the booked time and the display in the window gave a clear picture of our order status when we arrived. Fish and chips were first class.

SEE UPDATE:
Very disappointed with our fish & chips tonight. We had a large and a small fish and both were over-cooked and dry. The skin was even tough. I would have returned them if I hadn't driven all the way from Slinfold. It would have cost more in diesel. A very expensive mistake at over £23 for two portions (included curry sauce). The 2 stars were for the chips which were not too bad.
The staff are lovely though.

I have to say that I am so very impressed with their customer service. I received an email and have since been issued with a refund.
I will of course continue buying my Fish & Chips from them. Thank you. I wish others could follow your example.

Beautifully cooked cod and chips, ordered on line and ready at the exact time for collection. The size of the fish and quantity of the chips makes for excellent value.

Fast efficient and the food is hot.
Can't say much about it as it is fish and chips. Not much to say but they do it well.
The staff are polite but don't really spend enough time with them to see their hospitality side.

My order was ready to collect exactly on time. Delicious golden, crispy, light batter surrounding a good sized, fleshy piece of cod. The chips were excellent too.

We had fish and chips, mushy peas and onion rings. Fries were not crispy. Onion rings breading was very saturated with grease. Fish was greasy and fried with skin still on. The skin was not even crispy. I peeled it off before eating the fish. I have had much better in the states. My wife ate the mushy peas because I do not like peas.

I always really enjoy the Fish and Chips from The Master Fryer. I usually order online as it’s so convenient, and it saves time when collecting, especially at busy times (they are very popular, so it can be quite busy). Definitely recommend them.

I nipped in last night around 8/8.30 and I was the only person in there, I must have missed the dinner rush! I just got a small cod and curry sauce and it was soooo good, the batter and the curry sauce especially. I even contemplated going back there for another but strictly was on so I decided not to in the end 😂 I will definitely be returning next week! I haven't been to either the Horsham or Crawley one yet so this was a pleasant surprise 💕
