The Chip Shop

Asked for chicken kebab when I unwrapped it it was doner. Ended up leaving alot of chips and pies. Electric fly trapper on wall always full of dead flies never bothers to clean it very off putting standing there waiting to order food.

If there was a -5 ⭐️ I would have ticked it. 'Foul' don't know how they are still open, microwaved my pie infront of me and the sausage 🤢🤮, the whole thing was dry as a bone. The whole lot got binned.

As I am on very strict Gluten free diet due to being allergic to gluten. The staff are so accomandating to this and they go the extra mile to provide me with thee best gluten free fritters, fish and chips. They taste outstanding and never fail me at all and cannot thank the owners enough.

Every time I order on the phone . I would go to collect and it never done by time I get there and the owner is quite rude and the food is very greasy and soaked though the boxes and paper bags

Chips here are usually good so can’t fault that, the 2 stars are due to the kebab meet we just had. Both the chicken and chicken/donner meat we had was awful, really dry to the point I honestly thought it tasted like it’d been made a couple of days ago and kept warm. The donner meat was very curled in at the edges and dark coloured and the chicken was just tiny dry pieces. Won’t be having that again!

Proper local chippy! Chips have colour, fish is very tasty and the sauces (mushy peas & curry) are 10/10. They shut at 8.30pm at the moment, not 10pm.

I do enjoy the food from here, it's generally good quality, good value and good service, it's clean. Can't say anything special or spectacular or that it's worth a special trip over to collect. The hours are minimal and the parking can be challenging. Definitely eat there just don't expect a wow.
