Llanfair Fish Bar

The chips are ok, there is normally a wait for service which is ok, the fish was a bit greasy and the sausages were quite nice, the food was hot when served and apart from the fish most people enjoyed their food, So know we have been a few times I can recommend this place if you are in the area.

I have used this chip shop numerous times over the last 3 years without issue, but I don't know what had gone wrong .
We visited the shop this week and had fish and chips and some other food and it was disgusting, I didn't think it looked great when it was served and I wish I had refused it , but when getting it back to home and unwrapped it , it went straight in the bin, the fish and chips with coated in dark brown wet grease and tasted awful (see photo)
I'm told it's for sale and on that basis I can see why.

One star for the peas. The fish and chips were not great. I think they needed to change the cooking oil as the chips were very greasy and the fish batter was the same. Should be golden and crispy, this was brown and soggy.

Called to pick some fish and chips on the way back to caravan. The gentleman was very friendly, cooked while I waited, price was good and still hot when arrived on site. Will certainly use again.

Decent value curry and chips for £3. Tasty too, though could have been hotter. Polite staff, reasonable service.

Visited a few days ago during our stay in Snowdonia. It is cooked fresh/made to order. We loved it! It was delicious! Tastiest fish & chips we've had in a long time 😊 very nice owners as well. Thank you 😌

We ordered chips for our home cooked dinner. The portions were more than plentiful!
