We decided to grab some fish and chips to watch the sun go down on the beach. While ordering I had the feeling from the staff that our custom was unwanted and i felt uncomfortable, the staff hardly spoke and didnt even smile. We arrived at the beach and opened up our tea. The fish was dripping in oil and the chips were cold and looked old. Wouldn't return.

Good points.. quick friendlyish service, good mushy peas & chips
The haddock however was shocking! There was more batter than fish and that was heavily overcooked , disappointed

We ordered a range of food as there were 6 of us. All decent portions and tasted good. Slight mishap with one meal missing but thankfully we hadn't gone far and there was no questioning when we returned for it.

We only ate here once when the other Fish&Chips dinner in town was closed, so it might be an isolated experience.

There was a really long queue (between 30-45 mins). In addition, the staff asked that only one person per order should be inside. Coupled with the waiting time this demand makes it difficult for the person who remains to remember everybody order and a lonely experience for them. In addition, probably because there was not enough staff and there was a lot of pressure on them, they registered small portions instead of large, so we ended up with something slightly different than what we intended. Otherwise, the food was nice and we enjoyed it.

It’s not the first time we’ve had bad fish from this place but will be the last. I’m all for giving another try but the fish this time was just batter that was rock hard and not edible.
We decided to go here as there were no queues and the creel along the road were queuing out along the road.. now I know why!
We’ve been here now about 4 times and never had fish that we’ve actually finished. But no more for us! £20 to feed the seagulls.

The small fish & chips meal deal is great value at just £4.95. Busy chip shop that worked hard to get all the orders through quickly despite the queue being down the street

The fish was okay, didn’t find any salt & vinegars on the chips though.
Mysteriously, the two portions of fish came in very different sizes.
The burgers were a joke: dry buns & burger patties - no lettuce, no sauce. Basically a meatball in a bread roll.

This is a burger I just paid £3.5 for. Absolutely disgusting no offer of salad or sauce. Got chips too just to realise that they had no salt or vinegar on them. Seriously the worse meal ever. Avoid
