Queen’s Fish Bar

My mum has been getting oap cod and chips for a few years and has always been happy with them but tonight.. I was served by a very stern lady who literally put about 10 chips in each box.. A joke.. Cod was fine but what an insult!!! Normally the chip portions are larger but there must be a huge cutback tonight or the ladies in a mood..

This says a lot!! One star and that is just because they were open!
Firstly had to make a minimum purchase of £5 if paying by card which is ridiculous and robbery! I'm a pensioner and this was extreme!
Secondly ordered a pastie and chips (was forced to add a fish cake to bring the price up to £5) which I did not even want! When I opened the wrapping up it was to find the Pastie like a brick and totally inedible and the chips were stale and hard! I will definitely not go there again and warn other people of the poor quality!!

Staff are great but the service is hilarious. They keep forgetting orders and in what order. The chips are nice as is the fish but everything else is a little stale as sitting around for a long time

Good chips but I wish it wouldn’t smell like BO. There was one guy there and he smelt the entire shop out. He was lovely bless him but it did smell

My go-to for fish & chips. good quality food
I've been going there for a couple of years and had no issues.

Great food overall and great service. Would have been a 5 but recently fish bites have gone seriously downhill and are virtually inedible now. Shame as they used to be great. Everything else is spot on.

Good fish and chips and clean. I would give 5 stars but the portion sizes are on the small side
