After walking up the local waterfall on Saturday we decided to stop here even though I am not a big chip fan especially from chip shops still we thought give it a go, so glad we did!!!! The fish was AMAZING as were the fish fingers and even the chips were of a very high standard. Both members of staff, 1 man 1 lady were both very polite and friendly. I I would defo recommend and will 💯% use again on any future visits to the waterfall..

Never again. Dry disgusting chips that you could soak up the local waterfall with. Miserable staff. After receiving a flyer through my letterbox I thought I would give them a go. Never again. What a waste of petrol and money.

Not the best chips we have had, but by no means the worst, chips just seemed a little dry. Fish (cod) was okay as well.

Stayed in the village for a week and what a find. The Market Square Fish and Chip shop provided our dinner one evening during our stay. The welcome on arrival was friendly and pleasant, ordered fish and chips plus a separate portion of chips, was advised they were cooked to order and would be a few minutes, which wasn't a problem. Popped into the Spar shop next door whilst waiting and my order was ready upon return. Cash is the only method of payment accepted, not a problem as had noted this on one of our walks. Food was very well wrapped for the short walk to our cottage. The lady who was frying said, hope you enjoy your meal. Was delighted to unwrap and find chips that were cooked to perfection, not greasy or dry. Fish was beautiful, skinned and boned, batter beautifully cooked through and crispy, not oily, perfect. Price for our meal £10.30, on par with other places we know of, in fact slightly cheaper than some too. Would highly recommend this establishment and the people who run it, wish there were more like it around where we live. Thank you for a most enjoyable dinner. Keep up the good work.

Fish was good, staff are lovely...the chips...fml they're bad. Even the dog wouldn't eat them. Hope they read these reviews and sort the chips. They'd be the busiest little chippy ever if they did. 90% of locals won't eat there because of it. Such a shame as they are lovely people.

Two stars for the staff, super polite and friendly. On holiday in the area and decided on fish and chips for tea. The chips some of worst I have ever tasted, I think they are frozen. Such a shame ☹️

Were staying locally in a cottage and decided on a chippy tea. Lovely, friendly staff but frozen chips??!!!!!! Come on, absolutely unbelievable! Couldn't eat them, they were awful, the fish wasn't bad but frozen chips in a chippy that's a big no no. Wouldn't use again.

Would give 0 if it were an option. Honestly some of the worst Fish and Chips I've ever had, the chips were dry and shiveled as if the oil hadn't been changed for weeks the mushy peas were totally inedible and unrecognizable and the fish was flavourless and greasy. These people didn't seem to care all that much about anything other than money. I wouldn't even look at the place again a complete waste of time. Save your money and be on your way.
