Castle Fish & Chips

DISGUSTING!! To start with who charges £2 for small chips and £1.90 for a sausage in batter!! Taking into account how it tastes the place should be shut down. Chips were barely peeled, dirt in every other one which is crunchy and makes me want to throw up and the oil they were cooked in must of has some kind of soggy additive as they were pure mush, dripping in grease then to top it all off the batter was more of a pancake. Top prices should be accompanied with top taste but this falls far short.

I came late to order a portion of fish and chips. They were so flexible and went out of their way to prepare me the biggest and most delicious fish I have ever eaten. Thank you.

Not too expensive, and the fish was good. Can get busy at peak times but the staff do their best to serve quickly. Cod and regular chips came to about £7.50 ish.

Traveled 8 miles as my local was shut and queued for 25 minutes and was given a hard, over cooked piece from the corner of the cabinet when there were several decent pieces of fish. I threw most of it away. Dreadful and I won't be going back. // Edit in response of question: This was last Friday or Saturday evening, apologies do not remember which evening at this time as I work 12 Hour night shifts so hardly know what day it is at any time. They were busy and a young lady served me. // This is not particular to your establishment but someone needs to be responsible to rotate food and take out any item that can leave a customer feeling like they have been short changed or left hungry even after visiting a fish and chip shop. I was out the house for well over a hour, spent money on food and fuel and I went back home and cooked lol. :(

Amazing chip shop! Always very busy which shows the food is good. Quick service and good food, and reasonably priced

Staying nearby and needed some dinner. Great fish and chips and very well priced. Massive portion on the large cod and chips which were so lovely I tried to eat them all but failed. Excellent chippy.

Great staff, busier than expected. Chips are good, fish was very greasy.

2nd time we stopped here for fish and chips both times one of the best . Perfect batter very large fish and nice chips .
