Fish batter very very greasy stuck too papper bit flavourless fish but chips pretty
good reasonably priced

A!though I only call once or twice a year at the at the Avenue Fish Bar, there is always a warm friendly welcome.

A very clean establishment with lovely food.

Good parking on the Avenue.

Wheel chair access.

Theyre not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. Food is consistant and reliable, it's always enjoyable. All fish is left to stand, rather than made to order. Which is the only reason it's not 5 stars. I frequent quite regularly and will continue to do so. Try for yourself

Staff were very helpful and understanding however the food, being that it's a fish and chip shop they can't cook fish. Both the 1st and the replacement had under cooked batter, very off putting. Thank you for understanding and a refund

Very poor. Must of had more grease in the order than what they had in the fryers. Fish batter needed a hammer and chisel to get through. Way to thick of a mix. Plus sausages all split due to temperature of the oil they put in, indicating this was to higher temperature. Will not go back there. Been working all day in the kitchen myself and I wouldn't serve it to a dog. Couldn't even put it in the bin because I'd have to wait for environmental to bring me a oil drum. Very poor wouldn't say they are cooks behind that counter.

Beautiful fish but unfortunately some of the chips were under cooked , husband thinks that the sausage has changed too as the flavor wasn't up to normal standards.

Bought 3 meals from here, disappointed to say the least. Fish and chips, Chicken curry and Chicken, chips and curry sauce. Fish was dry and batter was so thick and greasy could've wrung it out to run me car off. Chicken was dry too and chips looked like they been shown the fryer and got frightened of the heat and ran off. My my how this establishment has gone downhill.

Popped in for lunch. Ordered fish & chips £5.90 for an enormous fish and portion of chips, all freshly cooked. I couldn't finish it! Cracking deal
