Salt & Vinegar Fish & Chips

This was my first visit to Salt and vinegar, on recommendation. I chose a Plaice , chips and mushy peas. Absolutely delicious . Freshly cooked , as you can see huge piece and only £3.99, talk about value for money .Proper chips not fries . Will definitely go there again . Lovely staff , so if you fancy a fish and chips well cooked on a sunday this is the place to go .Recommend them.

Can be very hit and miss. When good, very good, when bad, just avoid.
Never trust them when the fish takes 5 minutes either, been left waiting more then 30 minutes numerous times.
In addition the shop is filled with customers not wearing masks and they do nothing. The staff wear masks when they feel like it also, so not surprised they don't enforce 2 customer rule(as written on a sign) or make people wear masks.
Far more awful then good.

Fair play to them I thought I'd give them a try and tbh I prefer there pizzas over dominoes pizzas expecially for there prices there cheap great food and there quick on delivery and there drivers are always friendly, highly recommend

Move to south wales from Dudley, and this is the inly place that sells lamb meat just like what I’m use to, not sure why but it taste amazing and the price is ok. Tried a lot of places and no ones even close to me finishing off the meal, Maybe one day ill try there other foods but for now I feel a little like home.

Was very nice though I couldn’t give 5 star because the lamb was very spicy which was ok for me but not for other in my household that don’t like spicy foods. You don’t expect a lamb donor to be spicy. Also the garlic sauce tasted a bit vinegary. Other than that it was very nice. The chicken tikka was amazing

Cold food delivery, shame because they can be very nice.. get a 12v hot box it's not difficult!

Stopped off for some chips after a trek up a nearby mountain. Portion massive and chips cooked fresh whilst we waited. No crusty hard chips, all gorgeous light and fluffy. Good value for money and dude behind the till was sound. (It is cash only though but there is a free cash machine at the petrol station opposite so all sorted) Will be getting the fish as well next time as that looked amazing 🤙

Chips were a bit soggy and with most chippys now in Newport probably got their food from euro foods near spytty.
Very poor quality food.
