Heather Road Fish Bar

It's been taken over quite a few times recently but this is definitely the best management it's had. The staff are lovely, the food is always fresh and it's reasonably priced. If they took card it would be perfect, but that's just a minor inconvenience.

In the past I have not had a problem with this place. However, yesterday I was entitled to a loyalty discount. The order was very cheap with this discount but I paid the price with the quality of the order. I wanted chicken curry and chips. I was given curry sauce and chips and not a single piece of chicken. I paid extra for cheese and salad on two burgers but had neither. I won’t return again now.

Placed my order and waited for around 10 minutes whilst I THOUGHT they were cooking fresh chips (a common experience here - never seem to have chips ready to go)

The guy came out from the back and asked if I wanted salt and vinegar but obviously hadn't pulled out any fresh chips from the fryer

The chips in the bag had certainly not been freshly cooked, so a very long wait for old chips - why not just give them to me when i ordered instead of disappearing for 10 minutes - not impressed at all, I'd rather walk past this chip shop and go down to alonzis on caerleon road

Food is lovely but the delivery drivers need to bring change as I didn't get all my change you didn't give me my extra 53p

Arrived almost 2 hours later after ordering food was cold and didn’t even get the order correct. First time ordering and will not order again

Have ordered from there twice both times the delivery has not left the place until after I have called up and after the maximum delivery time which is over an hour and a half, really poor delivery service!!!

Good food and service. Expect a small wait if you go when it's quiet as they cook from fresh.

Great service, good sized servings fish cooked to order.
