Had lovely fish and chips today. Restaurant and toilets very clean, staff very polite and helpful, and food was delicious. Thanks a lot.

Seaside fish & chips, awful. Stale batter and over fried. Some of it was so hard, even the dog couldn’t eat it. Chips I think were warmed up from yesterday. Odd as it’s in a busy holiday location. Tinned peas too! Eewww

What a plaice!

We found this little gem whilst wandering around on a mild October day. The town was nice and quiet and we had just finished a little walk on the beach. After a brief look around the town, nothing really took our fancy. But then out of nowhere, like an oasis in a desert this little fish and chip shop appeared. We tentatively went inside, 2 tired children in tow to be greeted by a smile and an invite to sit down in the restaurant and await table service!

A short while later a very friendly lady took our order and was very patient with our indecisive 3 year old!

Once the food arrived we couldn’t work out why people weren’t queuing down the street!

Hands down the best fish and chips I have ever had, and I’ve tried a few up and down the country. I was once told the best fish and chips were in Yorkshire. I can confirm that isn’t true, they are in wales in a sleepy little harbour town. If you are nearby and you don’t visit then you are missing out!

I feel 5 stars are given out all too easily these days, but this plaice (see I did it again) deserves 10/10! Will most definitely return.

Always love to wander around a good army surplus store. This one is heavily biased towards clothing but a lot of it I have not seen in other stores and at reasonable prices. Could have spent a fortune here. Well worth a visit.

What’s a staycation in Britain without fish and chips by the seas. Massive portion and could have easily just had a kids one. But it went down a treat with both sons and the wife, but pricey but I’m probably showing my age a bit now, fish is not as cheap as it used to be. Served super quick even in these turbulent times and on one of the hottest days of the year when there were crowds upon crowds of people milling around.

One of the worst bag of chips I've ever had. Half of them were so dehydrated they were inedible. Not sure what you have to do to a potatoe to make it so dry. I should've listened to family that said not to go here, I won't be going back.
