Bettws Fish Bar

Love Bettws Fish Bar food always freshly cooked chips are gorgeous. Wouldn't want to go anywhere else for traditional chippy grub . Portions a good food piping hot and fresh and a massive choice .

chips where okay in my view but not amazing, the fish had scales which turned me off it straight away, after removing the scales (sorry I'm not fussy but that's gross) there was hardly any fish inside the batter!!! very disappointed and won't be eating here again as the trip isn't worth it.

Love this place! I have tried many fish&chips shops and this is the ultimate best one! Absolute brilliant tastes and good prices.

Food is always amazing but I've rated them 1 star as 3 times Ive got my food home and it's been wrong. On 2 separate occasions I've asked for fruity curry and they've given me Irish curry and now I'm missing a fish cake. Beautiful food, shame about the order being incorrect on 3 visits!

Had food from here twice since lockdown. It was lush, proper chips, nice food, homemade chicken curry is lovely. last time I went there was with my mum in the 70s lining in Bettws. I take the 3 mile trip all the time now. We'll done staff on making a safe civid chippy

Not been here myself before but Lisa really rates it from years ago. Seems to be the same owners, chips were nice and she said the curry sauce was good.

Great friendly service. Fish and chips cooked freshly. Good portions.

Located in Bettws Shopping. Easy access to entrance. Welcoming staff who are very polite. Very high standard of Covid safety guidelines so you feel safe and secure from the time you wait outside ( if there's a queue) to waiting inside. Food is good value for money. Menu lists up on the wall easy to read. Again food is of high standard once you've eaten there you will go back for more. I Recommend the Fish it's one of the best I've eaten in Newport. Very Clean hygienic fish bar.
