The Batter of Bosworth

Not sure if this has changed hands in the last few years but the last meal we had was terrible. We used to travel all the way from the Midlands to come here as it had always been amazing. Looks like the layout has all changed. We paid nearly £18 for chips a large cod and small fish. The large cod was smaller than the small fish and had hardly any fish in it, not sure if it was the tail piece as it was all in small crumbs. The chips were soggy too. By the time we walked back it was closed. Very disappointing.

Such a shame this place has gone downhill over recent months. Staff barely speak to you where as there was plenty of jovial banter in the past, food portions are considerably smaller and prices are extortionate. We have definitely made our last visit to this establishment, at least until they get a grip of reality. Who would’ve thought that fish and chips would be a luxury that few can afford, particularly these days when prices are so high. If you want to keep customers, try practising good customer service, excellent food and get your prices to a realistic level, over £20 for three fish and chips is ridiculous! Off to get my Birdseye fishfingers, cheaper and they probably taste better.

The food is lovely and the guys serving were nice.

However, the manager was treating his employees less than. The server honestly looked like she was going to cry!

They don't get paid enough for a bully boss.

Have used this facility about once a quarter for a number of years as it is not on my normal route. The staff are allways friendly. The place is always clean and the products freshly cooked and very tasty. Well worth a visit.

Lovely fish and chips. Good sized portions and not greasy. Plenty of other options available if you don't want fish.

Love there chops. Staff very pleasant and happy to have a chat. I will visit again.

The food was very good and the staff were lovely. Had a chat about the local area and was given some great suggestions about places to visit locally. Overall very impressed. Prices were reasonable too 😀
