Update May-19: this shop may be under new management as the quality has gone downhill since our last visit. Unfortunately we would not return after our last visit.

Great local fish and chips. Food is always freshly cooked & they take telephone orders which reduces the wait. The prices are very reasonable too.
Annoyingly they seem to serve everybody in order, so if you pop in for a portion of chips you can end up waiting longer than you would expect.
However quality of the food makes up for this. I would definitely recommend.

The sizes of the cod are amazing and portions are generous. The reason I did not give it a 5 was because they do serve not so fresh chips at times. You need to ask them to fry you a fresh batch otherwise your amazing cod will have a side of manky chips. Besides that, they are a good price and the best tasting cod in the village by far.

Gone rapidly down hill. Used twice recently and chips under cooked badly both times. Place also now looks grubby , never again. Gone to Portland Drive chippy , much better.

But honestly the chips and sausage I’ve just bought for my kids is absolutely disgusting chips were stone cold and rockhard isn’t the first time and I’ve let it go all these times I’m sorry to say shame on you food was uneatable

Great lunch (again) - very generous portion, lovely and hot and ……. best bit of all…..NO GREASE! Golden crunchy batter and chips. Well worth a visit.

Quality has hugely diminished since it was taken over by the kebab shop next door. Since 01 Oct 2022 they seem to routinely have problems with their card machine... nothing to do with tax, apparently.

Prices on the delivery services are also grossly inflated (>10% in most cases).

Me and my mother food was bad the chips gave us stomach aches the Sausage in batter wasn’t freshly cooked won’t go here a again

We had a very nice Cod & Chips from here last night. The guy (Leo I assume!) was very friendly and the food was cooked to order so fresh and hot. I would have preferred proper onion rings to the frozen ones, but they are quite rare these days!
