Literally love this fish and chip shop and being in my road is a bonus
Known John for years and he's a great friendly guy along with most of the others but this is the second time I'm having a moan about a certain staff member and tonight made me have to say this so hopefully he gets the sack
Tonight I asked if he could split my chips into 2 containers as I don't like vinegar and the other half does and we don't have any at home and his response was can't I just bag it up and you can sort it at home!
Even another customer commented on his rudeness

Our local chippy doesn’t disappoint all of our friends that visit rate it too. The Southern Fried Chicken sandwich is also a great!

Fantastic chippy. Been going here for years. Always perfect food, excellent hand made pea fritters, owner and staff are always friendly. Quick service, quality food and pleasant people. Will continue to come here as long as I live in worthing. Thanks old nicks!

Went there because of 5* reviews, not good experience. V. Small portion of chips on horrid polystyrene dish, large haddock was just about medium, tasted like it was cooked in old oil and curry sauce was lumpy and lacking in flavour & spice.
Chippy is in middle of very long road and super convenient for residents, possibly reason for 5* reviews.

What can I say!! Cod and haddock absolutely beautiful! Even when the batter looks over cooked the fish is perfect!! Nick we absolutely love you!! Thank you for our yummy sausages, haddock and chips!

Had the most disgusting and disappointing meal from here tonight, fish batter was soggy and somehow burnt at the same time, fish itself was chewy, watery and squidgy, chips were awful and tasted like they had been in there for 30 years and the battered sausage was pure grease. Definitely won't be going back and can only strongly advise others not to waste your money here too. 20 quid for 3 minging meals. Go elsewhere and don't be disappointed at losing your money. Don't have have clue how this place has above a 1 star rating at all...

A classic British Fish & Chip shop.

No other compares to the shear perfection Old Nick's offers. Nothing is ever too greasy, the chips are crispy in the outside yet soft on the inside. All fish is done perfection and there is never a problem with protion sizes.

They always arrive on time, sometimes even early. We once had missing drinks and the team at the shop managed to resolve that and bring those to me within no time at all.

Best in Worthing.
