The Village Plaice

This is the best fish that I have had from a fish and chip shop, even from my local which is down here in Somerset. Used to live locally but moved, would happily move back just for the fish, batter was so light unbelievable. Looking forward to visiting again.

We have had fish & chips numerous times from the village plaice but we have just had a very disappointing take away all over cooked dry fish and probably not one proper chip to be had cod & chips x 2 £ 22.50 expect better for that money

First time ordering from here. Very pleased with the service, all food present and correct, piping hot and tasted delicious. Friendly service over the phone and on delivery. Would highly recommend. Placed a large order and everyone was more than happy with their choices from the menu. Thank you

Staff are polite, food is clean and presentable, varied menu.
What let's it down is it only accepts CASH and in a village good luck finding a A.T.M machine that's working

Ordered the large cod and chips... Well I'm not kidding you I have had more chips in a medium meal from McDonald's....fish was flat greasy as hell ...not flakey at all ... shocking.. will I go back.... What do you think 😥🤦

Honestly not a bad fish and chip shop, fish was a little bit rubbery and the batter was falling off but other than that really good. Chips are solid.
