Great place to have fish and chips!
The garden in the back was great!
We had a lovely Saturday lunch there, nice and quiet outdoors!
We will definitely be back there to eat!
The staff were great too!

Love this place ! Take the Fleetwood Ferry tram from Blackpool, get off at the last stop and the Ferry Cafe is right in front of you. Outside seating to the front and a sun trap of a rear garden with the Lake District across the way. The fish is always fresh and delicious, served with a hunk of lemon and tartare sauce. Very reasonably priced too !

The Ferry Cafe provided the food for our wedding party - BRILLIANTLY! They delivered 50 portions of beautifully cooked fish, chips and peas to my venue with absolutely no fuss. It was still piping hot and sooo tasty. They were the talk of the afternoon (until the horses arrived!) 🤣

Called and had the small breakfast. Was really nice and piping hot. I am not usually a massive fan of beans but they tasted nice and not like cheapo ones. The chips were nice and fresh. Would definitely have it again.

After a working week the Ferry Café ⛴ was a perfect place to come to de stress and re-fuel on the well prepared chips 🍟 as pictured add to this the peaceful views over the water to the Lake District and the lovely friendly atmosphere 😀 this was the perfect stop off on the otherwise busy North West Coast!

Myself and wife had a day out on the tram while on holiday, Something different so we decided let's see what's at the end of the line, Well wasn't disappointed found this Cafe a family run business .

Good points
Food was brilliant 👍🙂

Bad points
The fact that they allowed Dogs into the cafe while eating food at the tables ,and at one point 4 dogs were in just one question SORT IT OUT or you will be closed down 😤 Health and Safety have been informed

We visited here on recommendation from an elderly lady on the tram from Blackpool. She said ‘…they do the best fish and chips, It’s not a posh place, but it’s nice!!’

So, off we headed.

The menu was vast and I was pleased to see they offered gluten free, meaning I could also eat here.

The place was really busy/loud and it looked like we had stepped back into the 1980’s with the layout/decor. Not being put off and eager from the recommendation, we ordered.

We stood in a slow queue, got our drinks then I ordered my gluten free chips and peas first, only to be advised they couldn’t do gluten free as all of the fryers had been used because they were so busy 🤯 After a chat with the fryer, I mentioned I was not coeliac but wheat intolerant - he was a little off and said” …so what’s the difference?”, which I was a little taken aback by (if I was coeliac I would of walked out at this point). In the end, it turned out they could not guarantee no splashes of batter had gone into the gluten free fryer, which I was ok with and continued my order with the rather stern lady.

We got a children’s fish fingers chips and beans, 2 sausage and chips one with curry and chips and peas.

One son didn’t like the chips (which isn’t unusual for him), the other didn’t like his sausage (which is very unusual), hubby thought his was ‘OK but nothing special’ (then later that day kept burping up greasy sausage and then felt sick) and my chips and peas were tasteless even when covered in salt and vinegar (actually the bright green pot of peas were ok).

Also (coffee lovers), please note that the coffee is Nescafé instant and not ‘proper’ coffee.

The toilets (men & ladies) need a bit of TLC.

I didn’t have a wheat intolerance reaction, which was one good thing!!

I don’t think we would return in a hurry. We went in with an open mind but left feeling a bit ‘meh’ (and me a little disgruntled) from our experience. Try it, and see what you think. Some people seemed like they loved it an had been going for years.

We have had takeaway and sit in at the Ferry Cafe. Superb food, superb service at a great price. Staff are really friendly, the fryer guy knows his trade. Mushy peas 👌, gravy👌. Chips always hot and crispy. Big portions...you cannot go wrong if you want a chippy dinner.👍
