Star Fish Bar

Recommended to us, and by far the best fish and chips we've found in the Taunton area. Chips were very nice and portion size was sensible. Fish was well cooked, quite flaky and the batter was crispy. Everything was hot. Service was very prompt, and we were in and out in just a few minutes. This was our first visit and we'll certainly be back.

Not been for a few years with lockdown etc so thought I’d try again but will not be going back. Cold chips and over cooked fish. £9 for a regular portion as well. Seems to of gone downhill

Worst place to get a kebab in Taunton.
Always get the order wrong.
I asked for regular salad, confirm it with the servers and the prep staff always manage to put the wrong, mixed minty salad on my meal. Ruining it in my opinion.
Will not be ordering kebabs from them again

Previously good under the old ownership, over the course of the existing ownership portions have been thinning out prices have substantially increased (more than competitors) quality has remained ok, wrong orders frequently, however its clear what the ownerships agenda is (large profits)

Business is built on fair pricing consistent service and good experiences, i have had several poor experiences, however I questioned the price of an item discreetly I was insulted by the 'owner' and told not to come back as I got into my car to leave I could see that I was being insulted led by staff and to customers who were all staring at myself.

Unfortunately tonight for some reason food was terrible, almost as if the fat was days old and hadn’t been changed. I called them to let them know, usually excellent.
