The Gym Group London Kingston

This is my local gym and I usually find my workout sessions to be for filling. But I do have a few issues with the gym.

Lockers are constantly broken, needing new lock handles installed on many lockers.

Gym equipment can be out of service for a long period (over a month in some cases).

This gym has a private cleaner every few hours. So if water is split on the floor. It's usually left there and maybe a "wet floor sign" is placed.
Staff can use a bucket and mop right?

I had a disappointing experience with the manager there. I handed him a few flyers for a personal vegan nutrition coach (for a friend) and some skateboarding flyers. He said he would have a think about placing them on the gym floor, as there are plenty of personal trainers who also give out nutrition information. I haven't seen the flyers placed anywhere (has been a few months now) and suspect they have been binned. I would had rather them handed back to me as they cost me and my friend money to print.

Poorly managed by the higher powers. The gym keeps closing unannounced due to water issues and they offer Sunbury as an alternative. That’s the middle of nowhere, yet Wimbledon is easy enough to get to and isn’t given as an option.

On top of that plenty of kit is always out of action and for months on end. Also, the air con barely works and it’s incredibly hot when using the treadmills and not possible to properly do any distance running.

The on site staff are friendly and helpful, but sadly the powers that be don’t want to spend money or maintain this place. I wouldn’t bother with this gym and will be cancelling my membership because of the ongoing problems and the fact they’ve also hiked up the prices when the experience just gets worse. Sunbury just isn’t an alternative and no money back is offered.

Closed twice in 4 days. Thursday I had arrived at the gym then saw the email. Today I was due to visit. Both times have offered access to Sunbury which is not accessible to me and miles away! I guess you get what you pay for. Better off paying more for another gym and being able to access it! 🙄🤦‍♀️

Closed the gym temporarily, with no reason given. I suspect it’s because they have had ongoing roof leaks. They had loads of time to fix the roof (or whatever other issue! Offered access to a gym in Sunbury. How am I supposed to get to sunbury?!! Why wouldn’t they offer flexibility? Just poor management and ghastly customer service.

I should say the staff at the gym are very friendly and helpful but clearly the management are not fit for this work

The gym is clean but most of the equipment is broken all of the time - even after they closed the gym for a few days to ‘fix it’.

The customer service don’t respond to your emails so good luck if you have any issues.

The lockers are not safe they are all broken also 🤣
They always have broken equipment and they doesn't have enough.
But, what can you expect for £25 per month 😅?

Great staff, friendly and helpful. Venue is clean at all times. Plenty of equipment so you never have to wait too long for a machine during busy hours. Love this place!

So far I've had to deal with customer service on 3 occasions. All three times they were OUTSTANDING. This is one of very few companies that doesn't actually try to rip you off and take your money at all costs. They are great! Do sign up.
