Very disappointed in the service and will not be using again.
The floor staff were great & I couldn’t fault the person that fitted the carpet BUT they firstly forgot part of my order on the day of fitting.

But the real let down was the gentlemen that come to measure the carpet. I asked him if the doors would have enough clearance from the carpet which he advised they 100% would, well they didn’t and as I have fire doors this resulted in my paying out an extra £500 to have all 5 of my doors shaved down. I wasn’t offered any help towards this cost just an apology from the floor staff - whom was meant to call me back once he had spoken to the measurer and didn’t.

So if you use this service please add an extra cost on top for any errors they will do along the way.

I was very happy with the service i received. I ordered the carpet, and it was delivered within five days. Very good service. And happy with the fitters, Alfie and Tom. Done a great job. With a difficult job to do. They even moved the furniture around for me, so to lay the carpet. Well done.

The worst service I have ever experienced. Such a terribly run business. Do not put yourself through it.

We have been caused so much stress, upset and time off work wasted. Not just that but initially put in an uncomfortable position with a rogue trader as two young girls.

Following that traumatic experience you'd expect them to do their upmost to sort our situation... We then had multiple fittings cancelled last minute due to a range excuses. Visits from various fitters turning up late with no idea what they were there to do, without the carpet or correct tools. Two ocassions fitters were told to come and stretch the carpet despite all of our conversations regarding a replacement.

Further down the line a fitter arrived who not only came with not enough carpet but was unable to communicate with us due to not speaking English at all. Our emails, calls and texts ignored by their incompetent Sales Director Andy who promised this would be resolved. I could go on, you honestly couldn't make it up.

All of the visitors from Tapi Carpets agreed it was a disaster, not salvageable and needed to be replaced. 9 months later, we conceded to only having the stained carpet replaced as the fitter wasn't given new underlay, only the worst door griper replaced (as the fitter happened to have a spare). We were exhausted with battling to get this far.

No call or the promised 'compensation'. Instead we get a template apology letter from their customer service team after chasing yet again.

Tapi Carpets were recommended to us by friends, although they dealt with a branch in North London. Dartford Branch was my nearest branch to home. I arranged for a visit to show us samples of laminate flooring and carpets. A very professional, knowledgeable and friendly Consultant arrived called Peter Marsh. He was so open and honest and after he had shown my wife and I numerous samples, with his help we were able to choose the right colours and product. We are very house proud and Peter assured us that the fitters would be experienced and would do the perfect job. On the fitting day Alfie and George arrived to deal with carpet fitting in a spare bedroom, the landing and the stairs. Another fitter called Lee arrived to solely fit the laminate flooring in our lounge. The three men worked extremely hard throughout the day to complete the job in time. In fact they did not stop and at the end of the the rooms looked amazing. The laminate and carpets were good quality and fitted absolutely perfectly. They also left the rooms cleared, vacuumed and immaculate. I cannot fault these men they are a credit to Tapi carpets. Having read the previous reviews I think it is a great shame that there are a number of negative reviews because we genuinely dealt with four great people and we could b

Rubbish service. Was convinced by the consultant that the carpet he was selling us was perfect for our needs, turns out it couldn't have been much worse. Tried to resolve it with the store, which they took ages to even respond to. They then refused to do anything. Only decent part of the service was the fitters, who are independent of Tapi.

Edit: Regarding Tapi's response - I have already sent you numerous emails about this. You simply passed them on to the store who refused to do anything.

These people are very good at conning people to sell their products. It was our first time doing house renovations and buying carpets and the staff wasn’t helpful at all. Instead they tried to take advantage. We have been asked to pay even before the estimator came over. It was £3,300 and We had 70 square meters rough in the house and ones the estimator came over they said it’s almost 90 square meters. We were told that estimate after given a discount of £850 amounts to £4,100. We couldn’t believe the estimate and also the area they mentioned. We then measured it ourselves as we had builders at the time. The house was only 59 square meters and when we questioned it the manager said rest is all wastage. I not sure whether a sensible person would believe that there is 30 square meters of wastage. Then they said not to pay anything but will do it for the amount we originally paid (£3300). Which clearly shows the price they charged us originally was overstated and a big lie. Now we are trying to get a refund and we were told the Manager doesn’t have authorisation to refund £3,300 and have to wait for a code from head office. Until now manager haven’t contacted us to refund our money. Called the customer service direct yesterday who then said the regional manager will call and sort out the refund. Nothing has happened yet too. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there as they are very good at conning you and I am not sure whether it is just the Dartford store or all Tapi is the same.

HIRING A LAWYER....beware of russell

Brought a carpet at tapi dartford....receipted and paid up. The evening before laying this carpet, tapi called to say they HAD SOLD IT TO SOMEONE ELSE after I'd brought it. So, with a few hours before closing time, on the day before laying.....we had to hurriedly choose another carpet from a limited range. IT'S NOT THE CARPET WE WANTED. On raising a complaint, tapi dartford's 'RUSSELL' was superbly rude and aggressive to my wife, head office ineffective, and communication poor. TAPI have been offered a chance to make this right. They have refused to do so. Given they sold my property, forced me in to choosing a carpet I didn't want, and were generally rubbish ...... I AM NOW INSTRUCTING A LAWYER. Please Do not buy at tapi.....save yourselves

Re tapi's response. You didn't try to find solutions at all. You only tried to justify your own position whilst ignoring your own incompetence and poor internal processes. The fact you are publicly claiming to have tried is shameful
