We went to Tapi’s last weekend and had a great in-store customer experience. Quickly attended to, we were shown the types of carpets we were specifically after. Then someone quickly assisted us with a quote and booking measurements of the room. Someone came just 24hrs later to measure the room and confirm the price, we ordered the carpet over the phone. Overall very smooth and seamless experience, I would highly recommend!

What a fantastic experience my husband and I had with Tapi in Croydon, especially from Terry.
From the moment we walked in store Terry's customer service exceeded our expectations, we explained our budget and he went through all the different types of carpets (hard wearing, deeper piles ect) and underlays answering all our questions and being very paitent. We all sat down and Terry constructed a plan devising it so we had as little waste as possible. To be sure we had the right colour he attended our home a few days later which is miles from the store in London Bridge and brought a range of huge samples so we could be 100% sure of our purchase.
We have now had our carpets fitted and what a quick efficient job it was. The whole upstairs, 3 bedrooms, hallway and staircase done and dusted in 4 1/2 hrs, my home was left clean and tidy and the engineers were respectful of my home the whole time.
In short I wouldn't go anywhere else after my experience, Terry was exceptional in his knowledge, demeanour and approach and the fitting was professional and quick, what more could you ask.

Earlier in the year we ordered new carpet for the stairs and passage. The people who came out did a great job. As they was a fair bit left over my wife asked if they could make a mat for us which we collected a few days ago. Both our experiences dealing with Tapi Carpets were great and would recommend them to any of our friends if they were looking to purchase a new carpet

Absolutely NO start. Do not buy from them and I regret it. Honestly the lady that served me couldn't wait to fishing my order and go to another person no sence of appreciation. And if you are planing to get your order on time you can also forget that as I will take infinity with no apologies simply that is that attitude. Will never use you and not recommend you.

I can't speak more highly about Tapi. I was dealing with CarpetRight and they just didn't care about doing the job, which meant I was running out of time to have carpet installed at my rental property. The turn around and efficiency of Tapi left CarpetRight in the dust, I am so impressed.

Ordered Aladka Cloud Carpet for the stairs. Lovely lady called Dawn came to measure up and was fitted today by... So sorry I forgot your name. Did a brilliant job and I am very happy with it. Had bad experience with carpet right so I am glad I went with Tapi. Thank you guys very much. Much Recommended

I found the old man in store dealing with me rude and deliberately unhelpful. I took my own measurements, it seems they don't even use your measurements accurately to make the quote, (which they always make deliberately higher than it is meant to be!) eg my stairs, they are all different sizes yet he couldn't be bothered to calculate the measurement for the stairs correctly, and just took one, like he had any thing else to do!??

Then what i really found shady and rude of him was he didn't want to hand me the break down of his quote of what he charged me, he just gave me a massive figure and wrote that down with his name on a company headed paper. Every one else i have seen has given me a break down of my quote yet this lazy old man wanted to keep it, even though i asked for it, he said no i keep this, this has my calculations on it.

Well you know what if that's how they're going on in there they aren't getting my commission! I choose to go to another store or even another branch just so that old man doesn't get my commission! Treat me better and maybe you will!!! ... Prices are steep like Carpet right in there too! ... pffff ....

DO NOT GO INTO THIS WITHOUT A QUOTE FROM OTHER RETAILERS! HIGH PRICE

I decided to go in stores as I was not sure about what I wanted and desired a high quality carpet. I selected my carpet and was quoted, around £850, for a small bedroom, plus fitting cost £91, which I thought was reasonable at the time.

I was only able to review the receipt properly a few days later and noticed there was a separate charge £12 for Tapi arrange the fitter , which I could have done myself, as the fitter was £71 in total and had to pay an additional £30 more on the day as they needed to cut my door. I was not made aware of this, so complete money making scheme - no clear transparency on the additional costs which may be incurred on the day of fitting by Tapi.

Once the carpet was installed, I was told by my local carpenter, who is also a wholesaler, that they sell the exact same carpet for half the price!! I was shocked as I was told I was getting the best deal. I was told I was getting 50% off. Not true, just a marketing tactic on inflated prices.

On a separate note, I also order vinyl, for a separate room for £292, excluding fitting, with an extra £12.99 for fitting spray. I would recommend not to buy the spray as you can buy the same, online, for half the price. Also, with this purchase I was told the order would be delivered a month after purchase date, not in line with my expectations, as I was told 2-3 weeks initially. Therefore, luckily, I had to cancel the order, get a refund, and search for another provider.

The other online provider charged £182, so much less than Tapi, so their delay and refunding was a blessing in disguise.

I would not use them again, as the additional cost were not clearly explained.
