Morleys Fried Chicken Downham

I have no idea where the previous workers have gone but they need to bring them back. I used to order from this place regularly to the point the staff knew exactly what I wanted when I walked in but I definitely won't be anymore. There are new staff members in there with unnecessary poor attitude it's unreal. 45 mins left till closing and the guys telling me with attitude that they've run out of all food except ribs and chicken wings, no burgers no nothing, he needs to save his eye rolling for when he inevitably gets sacked for losing that company business. My cousin had the same issue with a different worker there the other day. If it's something that's going to be a consistent problem in that place i would suggest that this place isn't worth the hassle. There are many other good chicken shops not too far from here in either direction that will for sure give you what you went in there for.

Food is usually on point. If you're nice to bossman maybe he'll bless you up with an extra wing in your box - nowadays tho the chips are a bit sad and the wings taste less fresh and are more salty than they used to be. Idk man the betrayal is real but loyalty means they still get 4 stars at least

I'm guessing that people keep stealing the peri salt which is why it's tied to the counter, I found this hilarious. The peri salt is quite tasty but it couldn't save the greasy, overcooked chips that were sitting under the heat lamp. The chicken was ok but a bit salty. Customer Service is good maybe I just caught them on an off-day. I'll give them another try.

Try the Grilled Peri Wings they're actually quite tasty and they cook them fresh. You can ask for fresh fries and they might make them for you. The good thing is that they're open quite late 7 days a week and in a pinch you can get something relatively hot to eat. Their slushies are nice but you can't really mess up a slushy! 🤣

As far as affordable fried chicken goes. This place ticks all the boxes and always satisfied. Customer service is good considering nobody talks good English working. Kitchen area can be seen and always looks clean although the front of the shop can get messy at nights

Surprised this place is busy was the worst burger I had and wings not fresh the spicy burger was hard the fries were okay would not go here again people who go here don't know freshness or taste

Very rude staff in morleys at downham way, the guy had his back turnt to me talking away to his colleague although he had just served another customer. It was like I wasn't been established he literally ignored that I was waiting to be served, very rude and unacceptable behaviour. I left the shop and went to the morleys recently opened at burnt ash Lane unfortunately the bbq wings were dry and tasted burnt, however the chicken burger was ok. I'm very appauld about the non customer service received up at downham way, the behaviour of staff on duty on 17/11/2022 was unacceptable it was very rude customer service. Usually I would of told ppl about themselves but I thought I'd put review of bad behaviour instead of staff on duty in that store. How many other people spending their money in this store have staff on duty in this store been rude to. Very rude I won't be going back there 😒

The customer service isn't the best. Regularly rude and serve random customers, cold food can happen when it's busy.
However, the chips are amazing I must say.
Also, it shuts at 11:30pm not 12:00am.
