Chick King

Have had their chicken and chipa and their fish and chips both are excellent value for money. They were tasty, and hot. Excellent service by friendly owners and staff.

Came here for the 1st time tonight and the food is incredible. My husband had the large cod and he 9/10 times always complains anywhere, in his words the fish was beautiful and the burger I had a was cooked to perfection, no grease dripping and so much bigger than I expected. To top it off the owner was extremely polite and friendly , can't wait for our next takeaway night.

The burgers are fresh and really tasty!!!!
The portions are big and the price is more than fair.
Definitely I recommend this place!

We ordered dirty chips, expecting chips with cheese and bacon or similar, but got something very different - chips with some seasoning which smelled like cinnamon 🤨. Walked away quite disappointed, but decided to return because this was not what we wanted and we didn't like it either. We returned them for plain chips which cost 3.90 per large. Dirty cost 5.50 per large. So they charge 1.60 for some powder which you wonder what to make of it.

Ordered for the first time here - £19 for 2x large cheesy chips and a large doner kebab. The doner kebab was awful - poor portion size and quality (photo attached) and the cheesy chips had the smallest amount of cheese I've ever seen for the highest price I've paid outside of major events. Appreciate we are in a period of inflation but there are other local places that don't compromise on quality when charging higher prices. Will not be returning and would not recommend.

I have been going to Chick King my entire life.
They are practically family to me in there.The food is extraordinary and delicious.
At Christmas they give me a free order because I'm a local and have been supporting them through thick and thin.
There chips never dissapoint.
It pains me to see people rating them so harshly.
I would rate a 100 if I could.

I been going at Chick King mostly for their fish and chips as is good quality, nice butter on the fish and well drain chips no oli as I like it.
However I tried one of their burgers at weekend wow yes again nice meal one of the best I have in ages.
Years of experience into perfection can't beat that allways recommend Chick King.

Great quality of food with reasonable price. The fish and chips we have ordered probably was onentye best I have ever had, it was freshly cooked and still hot and crispy when I got home. The fish was well seasoned and full of flavour.
Just beware the portion is quite large and we couldn't finish the chips.
