R C Payne & Son Funeral Directors

Having never organised a funeral before ,my sisters and I were at a loss as to how to start when our mother passed away ! We randomly picked R C Payne as it was nearest to me ! From the moment we met Matthew
He guided us through the procedure in a gentle and caring manner and seemed able to gauge how we were feeling ! He kept in touch and advised us and listened to us ,ensuring that on the day of the funeral everything was just as mum would have wanted ! Although a sad day ,it was made as easy as possible by Matthew and R C Payne . We can't thank you enough !

We received an excellent service from Matt at R C Payne Bitterne he gave the correct level of sympathy at our first visit to arrange our mother’s funeral. He looked after us throughout a difficult time having lost mum just before Christmas 2019. We had many delays owing to a post mortem and the holiday period.
Matt kept in touch and helped us in every step of way, after the Cremation they held on to the ashes until we were ready have them interred at a local cemetery. The service given was great and I am sure we will use them again as we have on three previous occasions.

We wanted to reflect Robert's life in the service and all our wishes were fulfilled. Our choice of music and service were just as Robert would have wanted if he could have chosen, being only 47 when he died suddenly. The staff were so understanding especially Matthew.

Our experience was outstanding, we could not have asked for more. The communication was excellent and we were taken through the process with sensitivity and care. The guidance and support we were given was superb and the organisation of the funeral was excellent. We had complete confidence and trust in Matthew throughout.

Mathew at R C Paynes dealt with my Mum's funeral recently. He couldn't have been more helpful, understanding and kind. It made what is a dreadful time so much easier. He was always available for any queries, no matter how small. Thank you so much Mathew it was a beautiful service.

We have used this funeral directors twice this year, once in February for Mum's funeral, and then again in November for Dad's. On both occasions we were treated very kindly by both Sarah, and then Matthew.

We were able to choose the music and a photo tribute, and both days were very well organised, and in the circumstances went very well.

Attentive staff dealt with all aspects of the funeral arrangements with care and consideration at all times, ensuring the service that resulted was a fitting culmination, giving relatives and friends the opportunity to say a dignified farewell.

Came to R C Payne as there was a funeral plan in place and this was the nominated company. To be honest the service we received I would like to think we would have picked them ourselves. What an amazing company, nothing was too much trouble, they kept in contact with us and organised everything right down to the last few details. It’s always sad when someone requires this type of service, but when you do, we can assure you of a great, attentive but above all a caring service. Don’t be afraid to ask them anything, believe me we did, and every question was answered.
