We're still reeling from the disaster of my grandmother's funeral, directed by DC Poulton Ongar, months later. My grandmother died a traumatic death, and it was a difficult, socially distanced funeral, at which DC Poulton managed to pull off possibly the mother of all funeral mistakes possible. It was deeply distressing to all our relatives. The staff clearly had no idea what to do and to add insult to injury, handled it terribly. Incidentally, the pallbearers seemed to be having difficultly organising themselves throughout the proceedings and looked quite scruffy in appearance to be honest. We received a clinical 'apology' letter a few weeks later (bizarrely addressed to the deceased!) only after we demanded one. We were offered a small fee deduction of 'what the related aspect of the funeral cost.' I've had more sincere apology letters from shops that have sent the wrong order.
