Stephen Pledger Independent Funeral Director

As we are not religious and therefore did not require a minister for our father's funaral.we opted for a low cost service which enabled me too be able to do the service myself with the aid of the funaral director. It worked out perfect with me being able to tell of my father's life in my own words I would in courage other people to give this a go funerals do not have to cost thousands .I thank the funaral director very much for giving me this opportunity

Stephen did the funeral of my stepdad,my mum,brother and just recent my father in law he always does a first class job. Everything is personal to the family and he gets you everything you want. Even got a motorbike and sidecar for my father in law. We as a family would definitely recommend him

Stephen Pledger is a wonderful funeral director. He has taken care of both my parents funerals and his professionalism, care and consideration at such a difficult time has been much appreciated by my whole family. During the difficulties of the current Covid regulations, Stephen ensured that the changes to the procedures involved, did not take away from the solemnly of such a sad occasion and he ensured that everything went smoothly. Stephen organised the announcement in the Derbyshire times, as well as the flowers and I cannot thank him enough for looking after both my parents final journey’s in such a kind, caring and dignified manner.

Excellent professional service and follow up, guided us through the process for both my parents who sadly passed close together, could not have asked for a better servece.

Stephen Pledger did my dads funeral, he was so professional at his job and genuinley so kind and caring which was very appriciated at such a difficult and sad time.
Stephen went above and beyond his job role from day one he sorted everything for us, nothing was too much trouble. He even sorted our flowers out at the last minute.
On the day of the funeral he gave my mam his coat to keep her warm.hes such a lovely man

Absolutely amazing. Did my dads funeral and with me only being young I never went through it he helped me through everything the funeral was high standard and constant updates and always there when you need him. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
