Garner's Funeral Service - Chessington

I would like to say that I cannot speak highly enough of Garner's Funeral Service. They are very compassionate, caring, and efficient. I was in a great deal of distress both on the day I met up with Vicki and then, on the day, David. Extra thought was put in by both of them at all times and it was so nice to be dealt with in such a caring way. The flowers I ordered were beautiful and the Celebrant (Stephen) was excellent. Thank you again for constructing such a beautiful last day for my beloved partner.

What can I say. Vicki, Howard, David and the whole team at Garners were just superb!!

My darling mother passed away in March after a long and difficult fight with cancer and Alzheimer's. The whole experience was traumatic but the empathy, care, and professionalism shown by all at Garners was second to none.

I work in the funeral industry, so I know what goes into making a beautiful service and I simply wouldn't have chosen anyone else for my Mum. She died in the early hours of the morning but Howard and David still came to collect her smartly groomed and dressed, and took such care to make sure she was treated with dignity and respect. Mary their embalmer did an amazing job, looked after her and made her look like herself again, which was a great comfort to me. Vicki and the team allowed me and my family to spend as much time with her as we wished , always careful to make sure we felt at ease and they were so accommodating and kind.

I asked for lots of little extra touches to make the day special, including a piper and my wish to make a short detour through Richmond park for her last journey, as she loved to do in life. Every request was met with an "of course , we can make that happen" response.

At no point did I ever feel pressured into having things we didn't need or want, Vicki talked me through all the choices available and I could take everything at my own pace. Contrary to what the media would have you believe these days, their costs were not overly expensive either, just good old fashioned value for money and in my opinion, worth every penny for the level of service they delivered. At every turn the whole team were there, supporting us, and making sure everything was perfect down to the smallest detail.

My two sons helped bear their beloved Nanny into the chapel and both Howard and David were right there by their side to support them and put them at their ease, as they could see my lads struggling. Afterwards they told me how that had given them the strength to do it. Another kindness above and beyond! They gave my Mum back the dignity that her illness had robbed from her and so many people commented on how beautifully the service was carried out.

It was like they had lost one of their own and I can't thank them enough.

You can really tell that this is a family business, run with compassion and pride in the job they do. They are just magnificent!! I couldn't recommend them more highly.

We are so grateful to have found Garner’s for my mother’s funeral service. Vicki was so professional, helpful and kind. Nothing was too much trouble and she did everything with such with empathy and warmth. We felt really safe in her hands. David was also great during the service. David from Garners came to the house , we got a call after that from Victoria to arrange a time to come down to arrange the funeral when we went down to meet her she was very professional and really listened to us. The way the funeral was put together was how dad would have wanted it and as a family it was exactly how we wanted it they really listened and cared about that. They were respectful when they came to our home when my dad died to when they came to the service

We would like to say a big thankyou to Garner's for all the help & professional service my father & I were given when organising my Mother's funeral. Firstly to Lin in the Ewell office, who was always there to help, guide & comfort us through this difficult time. This was something we hadn't done before, Garners made this much easier than we initially thought it would be.
On the day everything was taken care of & the undertakers made sure that the celebration of my Mum's life was made perfect from start to finish.

This is the 3rd time Garners have provided a service to my family and they are outstanding. Vicki and David at the Chessington office were so kind and respectful. My partners service was perfect and the attention to detail was amazing. They made a very difficult day turn into a warm memory. I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you so much.

Garners were so kind and helpful at every step . David was knowledgable about the Hindu culture, really accommodating and kind on the day itself. Donna talked us through all the other processes so clearly and went out of her way to check we were happy with everything. It was a friend that passed on their details as they helped her through this difficult time and I would certainly do the same.

Garners took charge of my wife’s funeral and I cannot praise them highly enough. Efficient. Professional. Caring. All excellent. Vicki at Chessington was the person that helped me and was marvelous, on top of the other things I’ve mentioned she also found me the absolutely right person to officiate.Top marks.
