I wish I had heard of "Harold Liliker" funeral Services when my mum passed a few years ago.
Drew was very, very courteous, warm, pleasant and sympathetic in dealing with our family on the passing of my son Joseph. He put my mind at ease and his team was excellent in everything they did to help us.
Everything was handled with the greatest of respect and dignity and I couldn't have wished for better.
Greatful thanks to Drew, "Harold Liliker" independent Funeral Services for making such a very sad and traumatic occasion bearable.
I highly recommend your Services and what you did for my son.
God richest Blessings. ❤❤❤

My family and I would like to thank Harold Lilleker and Sons for arranging the funeral for my wife. From the first phone call to them all the way to her funeral, they were very respectful and compassionate to my wife and all the family. I would like to thank Drew and his team also Rebecca for arranging the details of the funeral also helping with the slideshow and music at the crematorium. Also the small things that made the service personal to my wife, the little touches such as my wife's name with an angel (her maiden was Angell) being carved into the coffin. We didn't want a conventional service and Nigel Turner was suggested to take the Celebration of Life service, he was excellent.

Losing our mum suddenly left us all in shock, over previous years family had used the co op recently we saw alot about Harold lilleker, they looked excellent so we chose them to look after mum,I always thought funeral directors were there to take care of everything but after the initial meeting with them it really did seem like we were the ones having to do the chasing. They told us they would collect mum on the Friday and ring us by Tuesday so that we could visit mum in the chapel of rest,we ended up ringing them on the Thursday to see if mum was actually with them ,when we eventually got a time arranged our family arrived and were lead around the side of the house to what I can only describe as an outhouse, l was shocked to have the door opened and there was mum surrounded by a few chairs.
We didn't want to all go in together so those waiting stood outside the door watching the owner polish the cars ,we found this totally disrespectful, we'd asked that they made sure mums hair was like her picture but her hair was exactly how I left her at the hospital, swept back from stroking her head I ended up getting water and curling her fringe ,mum had a spot of blood on her chin this was still there.
They had offered an obituary on their website,we filled in the paper and sent the picture to find out 2 days before the funeral they had lost it and asked a few questions over the phone, not at all like the obituary we wrote.
The day of the funeral, they were late so late the man walking Infront of the hearse walked around 20 steps and jumped back in the car. After mums cremation I arranged to collect her ashes a few days later, when I arrived at the time they gave me I rang the bell a couple of times to see a man walking over to me in the yard and hand over mums ashes,I felt like I'd been to buy something from an ad.
Maybe I was expecting too much ,maybe if I'd spent alot of money things would have been different maybe they were having an off day.

Drew and his team are exceptionally professional. At a deeply upsetting time nothing is too much trouble and they go above and beyond to make the occasion a special time to remember. Special thanks to Rebecca at the Whittington office, she was always there when we needed her and helped out immensely. Thanks all.

When my dad passed away Harold Lilleker & Sons were appointed to carry out his funeral. Being from out of the area I’d never heard of them and had my reservations.
Jordan made contact and very quickly put my mind at rest. He took care of absolutely everything leaving me to grieve. Harold Lilleker kept it traditional but added subtle personal touches to make it personal to my dad, like the walking cane was my dads favourite football team, the order of service cards were bespoke to my dad (not the regular style although these were available if I wanted them), the coffin had a carving of the Crooked Spire in it. All these subtle additions made my dads funeral MY DADS.

I can’t thank Harold Lilleker & Sons enough for how they treated my dad (and us) during these trying times and feel the only way I can pay tribute to them is by giving an honest thankful review.
Jordan, A special Thank You for all your help and support.

We chose Drew to look after my father in law. Looking at reviews we can see that Drew is one of the few Funeral Directors that is independent and still offer "customer service" We used the Whittington Moor office. Rebecca is a diamond, so quickly felt like a friend. Nothing is too much trouble. We felt that everything was in place and cannot thank the team enough for taking my father in law on his final journey.

I can't recommend Drew and his team highly enough. From the first phone call in the early hours when my father in law passed to his funeral yesterday Drew and his team were so compassionate caring and understanding. Nothing was to much trouble and the care and dignity they should my father in law was second to none. They made his passion for Liverpool FC shine through with so many personal and unexpected touches from everyone wearing red ties to the Liverpool FC carving on the coffin. Even Drew's walking stick had been wrapped with Liverpool logo's.

Harold Lillikers made a very sad and upsetting time so much more bearable.

Thankyou Drew and all of your team

After hearing many good reviews over the years Harold Lilleker & Sons was our go-to when my Grandad died recently. The service we received was everything a funeral directors should be - respectful, person-centred and compassionate - with no corporate 'one-size-fits-all' approach, a wonderful example of an independent local service. Highly recommended, thank you!
