My much loved uncle died recently - it was a peaceful death at home and very much expected. However, it was still an emotional experience. What helped was having brilliant funeral directors who were respectful, professional, empathetic and helpful. We mainly dealt with Angela who was just so easy to get hold of and to talk to. She encouraged us to do as much as we could as early as possible so that when it came to the day of the funeral there was no stress. We also would like to thank Sam who was in charge of the funeral on the day. It was lovely that he rang me the night before to check that he had all the details correct of what we wanted and he was the perfect gentleman on the day. Thank you all.

I cannot speak highly enough of everyone at James & Thomas Funeral Directors. The service of such a high standard that they have given to my family and I at such a difficult time was remarkable. Angela at the Woodbridge Hill branch is so lovely and was there with us every step of the way from our initial meeting right through to the funeral service, nothing was too much trouble for her and she kept us updated throughout. On the day of the funeral, Sam the Funeral Director, ensured everything ran smoothly and was so professional. Not forgetting everyone who works in the background for all the care and respect they gave to my a Dad whilst in their care. I would highly recommend their services and cannot thank them enough.

From the beginning to the end, James & Thomas Funeral Directors offered a first class service. A very close, dear friend of my passed away at the end of August .. an incredibly sad time. The service offered by Angela at James & Thomas made the whole process of arranging her farewell so calm, her communication was first class; compassionate and professional. Nothing was too much trouble, even numerous amounts of changes to the Order of Service! Angela even made a tribute page for donations to our chosen charity, this was such a lovely added touch. Everything run smoothly on the day. Thank you for Brain and David who drove and accompanied my dear friend and also advised us, not an easy thing in this time of ever changing rules and restrictions.

Thoughtful, caring approach, I highly recommend James & Thomas, especially Angie at Woodbridge. She listened carefully to our wishes and was able to put together the service we wanted. There was much more flexibility than I had anticipated and we were able to personalise aspects by taking some tasks ourselves. Angie is discreet and always available to help and advise.

My mother died on the 5th of August this year, it has been an extremely challenging time. My mother had a funeral plan in place which included the wonderful service of James and Thomas funeral directors. From the beginning of the process things were made so much easier than they could have been and this was in large part thanks to Angela who guided us through the process with kindness and patience. Everything on the day of the funeral went perfectly and we'll be forever grateful for the kindness, help and support that we received.

The death of a loved one is a very traumatic time for all concerned and the role to be played by the Funeral Director is vitally important. It was my late brother's wish that his funeral was to be arranged by James & Thomas and I can confirm it was an excellent decision. From the day I first met the Funeral Arranger, Angela from the Guildford branch, to the day of the funeral itself everyone we dealt with were extremely professional. What was required was clearly and sympathetically explained in simple terms and nothing was too much trouble. James & Thomas certainly relieved the stress and worry during a very difficult time and based on my recent experiences would highly recommend them.
