One of the (if not the) biggest of the St Helena Hospice chain of charity shops in Colchester. As others have said, stock here changes often and good items go quick. This does mean time it wrong and you'll find nothing of use. Currently good for DVD purchases at 4-for-£1. The store stocks mostly furniture, a small amount of books, some clothing, a number of DVDs, a very slim amount of CDs and a few toys. Not a lot of electronic goods here, most of them being toys. If you want electrical goods then I suggest the shop on Magdalen street.

This is a good place to go if you are looking for a project piece of furniture to do up. Most of the pieces are in good condition to start with, so it will be easier to make them into something else, but occasionally they get quirky things so worth keeping an eye on it. It's getting harder to bag a bargain here now, but still worth looking and supporting a very good cause.

Great place to do and get good. Fairly large area, wide selection of both children's and adult books. Cloths, jewelry, furniture, sculptures, name it. The best part of it is that you can donate these things as well. Friendly and kind staff.

New cafe closed at 4pm, but shop open until 5. PLEASE DON'T CLOSE THE CAFE AT TEATIME..... at least 6 customers who would have bought tea and cake were disappointed. Please reconsider Hospice - you do a great job otherwise!

Absolutely love going here, the trouble is it's very close to where I work so always popping in. You never know what you will find. I've brought lots of lovely items from furniture to handbags. Staff very friendly and helpful
