A great place to look for games, they also have miniatures and RPG books. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. the parking can be tricky. I always try and pop in for a gander if I am that way.

Awesome, proper gaming shop! A great selection of second hand games and miniatures, as well as new gear. Covers all aspects of tabletop gaming. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Good shop, but always has a price sticker on the cover. Why would you do that when condition is everything to a comic book collector???

Just lazy or being cheap from the owner who can't be bothered to bag the comic and put the price sticker on the bag.

Do not buy Pokémon cards from here !!!!!

They are 100% resealed !!
I went there the other day and got a few packs of cards. Went home and noticed something was off.
The bumps on the package were flat and not bumpy, the rapping was loose and one was actually open.

They said some things that were worrying they said they open the Build and battle boxes and are re sealing the and selling the cards,
so they are probably getting the good cards and selling them on.

I will not be going here again and I suggest of you do you check the card packs before you purchase.

Excellent games shop centred on RPG games like D&D, Pathfinder etc..with a good collection of comics and graphic novels and cool miscellany of various tyoes. Helpful friendly staff and high st location. Puts me in mind if the old 80s games shops... Cool place.

My son took some cards In to the shop as he wanted to try and sell some cards. He was accused quite nastily of intentionally trying to sell fake pokemon cards. We had a pack of cards which were apparently a mix of originals and some fake. Unbeknown to us. Tall man with a pony tail very rude to my 11yr old son and made him cry. We have never been in to try and sell cards before and they were nothing special but it turned out to be very upsetting for my son. We have been buying warhammer and paints here for years but we won't be returning anymore.

Total nerd cave and we love it! It's become the go to place for affordable miniatures and other rpg stuff. Great service and helpful when finding our way around. New stock often so always a reason to pop back a see what's new in

I’m quite new to gaming in general, and have recently started collecting pokemon and MTG cards. I’ve been told in other stores that I “don’t look like the kind of person who would enjoy the fantasy genre”, which may be true, but at Area 51 I don’t feel like that’s a problem at all.

It’s a laidback store where the staff, although busy sorting through stock and pricing items, are very approachable, helpful and friendly. As a woman I have always felt 100% comfortable there too, even though MTG and Pokemon can sometimes feel male dominated.

Their prices are fair, and the selection of second hand cards they have are really good and well-arranged (it’s not messy like other reviews have said; there’s just a lot in a small space!)

One of my favourite places to go on the weekend :)
