My young family and I love Nottcutts, it's one of those places that you can easily kill a lazy sunday morning!

Free parking (disabled and child parking spaces available) play park for the kids (with a pirate ship) and a decent cafe means something for everyone.

Great selection of quality garden centre essentials as well as seasonal items. They also sell gift cards, have a great book stall, children's toys and pets centre.

After grabbing a coffee and snack the kids love to say hello to the resident parrot (scarlett macaw?) George, who on a good day will say hello back!

Seasonal events are also hosted here, such as a grotto at christmas and a classic car show in the summer - both of which are great.

Disabled and baby change facilities available and the cafe has high chairs.

We sometimes stop here on our way elsewhere as it has a nice car park and the plants are lovely; they have a huge selection of pots. However it is about time that they rebuilt the toilet facility and preferably not adjacent to the cafe. Even worse today the disabled loo was blocked and obviously had been for a while - quite repulsive - we reported it to the staff member in the cafe. Fortunately the other loo was operational but of little help to those that must use the disabled facility so badly let down on cleanliness.

Stopped for a light bite - had quiche of day with new pots and salad, was told it was smoked salmon. Presented with a dried up quiche, burnt at the crust, the salmon was not smoked but ordinary salmon and it had potatoes in the quiche! 😱 Clearly to bulk it out so they use less egg mixture. Very poor and unappetising. Be careful what you order later in the lunch period!

Went for a Sunday treat to look at the Xmas display and have lunch in the cafe. The Xmas display was a little average, but still something nice to look at. Went into the cafe and found a table, they were busy but not rammed. Went to order food and was asked to leave as there were no tables despite already having a table and people who were behind us being allowed to stay which was quite embarrassing and quite awkward for us and for others. Pet department has a nice selection of things but after the cafe we just wanted to leave.

Love the household items and the current Christmas display is incredible. Had lunch which was nice, portions are small for the price and waited quite a long time although it was very busy. They didn't have a huge variety of plants but perhaps because of the time of year.

Nice to see they are serving proper meals again. Home made pies etc. Not pseudo bistro stuff. My partner and I had a great lunch.

Decided to go out for lunch so came here, having had eaten here previously.
I had the turkey with all the trimmings.
Cooked well, maybe a little too well with the parsnips, nice flavour to all the food but one slice of turkey seems a bit tight.
