Such a beautiful place, almost therapeutic. Me and my boyfriend have visited the garden last week (April) and it was so nice. Trees were blossomed and it was full of flowers. The garden is clean and very well maintained 🌼🌸🏵️

Lovely chalk hill garden with stunning view of surrounding area including the sea and Southdowns. Lots of areas to sit and enjoy the fresh air and birdsong. Lots of potential for longer walks though we enjoyed a family amble and chat. Free parking and a small quality snack wagon serving teas. Next to a busy pub and tea Rooms, which we didn't go in. Would be a great place for a leisurely walk and Intimate meal or a day with the family and a picnic.

Very beautiful place. It has an interesting history and relaxing energy. One can feel that the founders taught about every plant and every corner of the space. The gardens have a very lovely eco system with lots of butterflies, dragonflies, different birds etc. It's definitely a must visit place in West Sussex.

I would describe this as a very pleasant green place. Very much somewhere to come and stroll around these well manicured gardens. A simple place with little fuss and bother. There is a toilet and a small visitor centre but little commercialisation and lots of greenery.

Have been to Highdown Gardens many times over the past 23 years but this was our first visit since reopened. We were not disappointed! A great place for entire family and it's free! There's a lovely "post box" for donations.

Such a lovely garden. A real hidden gem and very quiet on the weekday we visited. Its also FREE! A rarity these days. The toilets looked clean and well maintained and the carpark was close by there were no refreshments available on site, so bring a picnic. Its on a hillside so may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Otherwise highly recommended.

When did they build this place?!?? It's right on my door step!! The car park is a big shared car park with both gravel and tarmac however it is free parking (free is always better) my 1 year old daughter loved exploring there. Best of all it's a gorgeous location with plenty of trails. We spent over an hour there just wondering around and had a spot of lunch (picnic) which there were other families picnicking but everyone had plenty of space. I wouldn't recommend bringing a buggy to this place as you can see some of it is hard standing floor but alot of it is grass and dirt tracks. Definitely worth a visit.... A little gem hidden away.
