ESSO EG HOLLIN BANK

I only visited as they were giving away some free fuel for using their app - thanks Esso! Surprised to be able to pay this way in such a backwater location.

The pumps themselves look old but everything else had a modern feel. Definitely on the expensive side will stick to the supermarkets as all petrol comes from oil processed in the same refineries anyway.

Update 20/11/18: I didn't get the £5 credit promised.. nice one Esso!

Night shift older men never known how to do top ups..electric,gas.. .do payment! Please anybody teach him

Just located of M65 Jt 12 towards Nelson. Got almost everything you need when driving. Loads food as well.

I'd give them minus 5 stars if I had the option.

Absolute rip off!!!!

Was good until euro garages took over, £2.20 for 500ml lucozade, £1 for 1 litre of lucozade down the road. No brainer.

Shell is literally 1 min down the road, it also is a spar shop, but the pricing is completely different.

Ideal location for the motorway. Prices seem more expensive than other stations. On site cash machine and a shop for essentials, but again pricey (think service station pricing and you'll be on the right track). They take Tesco Clubcards.

Great Starbucks coffee. Very friendly staff. Good selection of foods & sweets.

My local petrol station is staffed by amazingly friendly people great fuel prices and a shop for all your travelling goodies
