Get a receipt and check your change in this place. I put in £7.01 of fuel and was offered back £2.01 change from a tenner??? How he came to the conclusion he was correct I really don't know that ! Obviously I looked at the guy who then gave me another pound !

The fuel cut-off mechanism was not working on a diesel pump, and a tonne spilled out on the floor and my shoes. When I mentioned this to the cashier she first of all did not understand what I was saying, and then, rather than acknowledge what I was saying, just demanded payment. I asked if she had heard what I said about the pump and she unconvincingly said: I tell someone. I asked to speak to the manager: he wasn’t for listening and told me I should have read the sign. He did not believe me when I told him there was not a sign, but I convinced him to come out with me and have a look. We found a small plastic Out of order sign face down on the floor about 3 m from the pump. He just carried on insisting it was my fault, because I was the one filling the vehicle. I tried to explain that it was not my responsibility to ensure the pump was in working condition. Most of what he said was unintelligible, and was completely without any acknowledgement of fault, with no apology or concern. I have been going to this petrol station for years. I fill up sometimes three or four times a week. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Really nice spot. Convenient store, subway and coffee as well with fuel court.
Customer toilet facilities are satisfactory.

I recently tried to purchase fuel at this station but was told I would need to leave a item of value with the cashier before he would authorise the pump. This was because I was riding a motorcycle. I had removed my helmet, entered the store and was in full view of the cctv cameras. Never before have I been discriminated against like this because of the type of vehicle I use.

Chaiiwala Indian street food stand at the Esso garage. Very tasty Chicken Tikka Paratha Wrap. Reasonable price. Would certainly order it again.

Poor service. Not always the cheapest around but normally better prices than others. Staff here have a very poor understanding of English and can get very offensive when asked to repeat themselves. I personally avoid this place if I can.

Friendly staff and nice selection of shops and products: Greggs, Chaiwala, Subway.

Toilets very stinky and uncleane though
