ESSO MFG RUGELEY

I use the Esso app to pay for fuel. Super easy and quick. I do not need to queue or enter shop to pay. Useful simple tech that works.

I think it links to the till rather than card payment at the pump which can get complicated and you have to touch the keypad.

I just use the app to set which pump I am at and it just does the rest. Fill up occurs after set payment limit is authorised. I fill up then go.
Receipts are sent by email and also they show up in the app within minutes. Great for tracking spending and sending for expenses.

I recommend you try it and the app also shows you all the other Esso stations in the UK participating.

Please note if you have the text on your phone set to large the pump numbers on the app disappear so turn you phone to landscape or reduce text size in settings until you get use to the app. I got caught out by this the first time I used the app as you have to select the pump number you are parked at.

Hopefully they will fix that part of the app soon. I was not put off by this.

If you need zero ethanol then this petrol station for you. Although the pump says E5, it is really zero. Only a few Esso station have this stocked

Go elsewhere now. New member of staff been there about a month just stares and mumbles at you. Probably got in the position via a friend already there. Can't see him ever passing an interview!

Filled up with diesel here about a week before Christmas. It was quiet, so plenty of pumps were free and I was able to pay very quickly. Unfortunately more expensive than other petrol stations, but other than that perfectly fine.

Normal petrol station, nice. What was good was they limited each customer to £35 of fuel, so people couldn't fill up several cans as well.
