Good shell garage, good location and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and the shop was good and well stocked

This shell has been re-done recently, much better now the shop is very good and staff very efficient and friendly, couldn't ask for any more.

I shall not be returning here again !

The man serving on the till was extremely unhelpful as was the female person working there too !
I found the mans attitude hard to tolerate and down right rude !
I do not know how he could be in such a job which is very customer orientated with a manner as rude and as unhelpful as his !!!

I have regularly used this place for petrol and for purchasing goods, but now I will never use this place again !

First time visiting and won’t be coming back. Rude old boy on the tills shouldn’t be working in a customer facing role. Maybe he hadn’t had his nap? Sighing as if I was an inconvenience when I asked for a bronze car wash - he asked “which one is your car”, I told him it was parked around the corner and he then said bluntly “what type of car is it” as if it was my fault for not knowing the info he needed. Then he thumped the chip and pin machine as if I wouldn’t know where to place my card. I suppose telling me nicely that he was ready for my card would have been far too much trouble. I said thanks and proceeded to the car wash - the car wash was fine.

This petrol station has become an absolute disgrace. This used too be the heart of the village with helpful friendly staff. Presumably now under new ownership it has been ruined.
Staff are rude and usually too busy doing other things to serve you. The fuel has been way above average recently. The food selection is clearly whatever rubbish is on discount at a wholesalers with weird flavours and brands you have never heard of, again at expensive prices.
My final straw today was when I went over at 21:50, bearing in mind the sign on the door says closes 22:00, to get some bits, and the guy had locked the doors and was cashing up. Presumably looking for an early exit. I waved at him through the glass and he stared at me several times, and completely ignored me.
I will be doing everything to avoid going there now.

I worked it this place for 10 years. I left
It used to be well run and fun but got sold to new owners last year and has gone downhill very fast.
Overpriced fuel and goods with poor service.
I use other garages now.
You will notice most of the good reviews of this place are at least a year old.. I wonder what their review score would be otherwise?

Was the best Shell around. Now taken over, with Vpower overpriced and now not even available. Shame.

Poor customer service and very rude at tills.

Will I be getting fuel from this service station again? NEVER!
