Very testy food !! Very friendly staff and good service. Recommend!!

An unexpected, lovely discovery in Honiton. Plenty of positives: friendly, attentive staff, cosy environment, tasty, well-presented food, good selection of drinks. Although it has to be said that the selection of mains and desserts on the menu was quite restricted and the prices high for this area, these are difficult times. The staff of The Holt deserve high praise and five stars!

One of our most favourite places. Extremely friendly and attentive staff, nice surroundings, service is excellent. Food is fantastic and always beautifully presented. Menu may be a bit limited from some with just half a dozen each or so of the starters, mains and desserts (plus a few specials), but this place clearly focuses on the quality of the service and food. It is not too expensive either. Can get quite noisy,.....but that's just happy people!

Lovely welcome, tables laid and not too close to each other. Time to choose, never rushed. The food was tasty and well presented. We had mains and a dessert ( keep room for the desserts, very yummy). A little more expensive but well worth it. We will be returning. Recommend this pub/restaurant.

Intimate restaurant and bar in Honiton high street serving fantastic food.
The waiting staff were very attentive and helpful.
I had the prawn starter and the sirloin steak which were cooked to perfection.
The ice cream dessert was much much better than anything your average local pub serves.

My wife and I ate at the Holt again last night and have to say the food was absolutely outstanding. They never fail to impress.

The food blew us away. We tried to think when we’d had food this good in recent months and neither of us could come up with anything.

The Holt is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere for eating, very relaxed dining with incredibly attentive staff that go out of their way to make your evening a thoroughly enjoyable one. Thank you again Team H. 5*

Highlight of the area. Who would have known such a discrete wee building could house such ambiance and delicious food.

The "Pint of Prawns" was a pleasure. Smoked prawns with amazing bread and an edge of punchy aioli. Fish and chips crisp and meaty, exactly as it should be and balanced nicely with a touch of herb mayo.

Staff are a pleasure to deal with. Attentive, knowledgeable and articulate yet swift and efficient.
