The room was clean, nicely furnished, bed comfortable and shower large and powerful. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was also very good with plenty of choice. The road in front is quite busy but the rooms are well soundproofed and there is a really lovely garden at the rear.

We stopped off on our journey home after a weekend trip, there were five adults of us and we all agree that everything was absolutely spot on.
The Inn itself is beautiful, location, decor and cleanliness alike. The staff were all very smart and their service was fabulous. The menu offers a fabulous variety and between us we all agreed that the presentation and standard of the food was simply stunning.
If I am ever travelling this way again I would not hesitate to return! The food was just outstanding and the team both back & front of house are clearly excellent at what they do! Thank you for a lovely visit!

Great hotel/inn in a beautiful setting. Decorated to high standard and what a treat to have our own balcony. Staff friendly and accommodating to your needs. We asked for a cot for our toddler and wanted breakfast delivered to our room. This was no problem for the staff. Would stay again!

We were fortunate to stay the night with our 2 collies, suffice to say we had a fabulous time. Very easy check in, we were shown to our lovely room complete with terrace out to the lovely grounds. The room was comfortable and came equipped with everything you could conceivably need, the dogs had their own comfy beds and bowls with treats. The restaurant was fabulous and the service exceptional. Great tasty food at good prices and a wonderful selection of beers and wines. We will definitely be back, thank you all for making us feel so at home.

We stayed for one night recently, and ate in the restaurant. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. We had one of the garden rooms which was spotlessly clean and dog friendly. We ate dinner in the restaurant; it was excellent value and very good. We had breakfast (included in our room price) before departing and could not fault it. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

A fantastic stay last weekend. The staff went above and beyond to make my small birthday gathering go smoothly. Big thanks to Chris who organised the festivities. Great food and a great selection of drinks. The room was fantastic, spotlessly clean with all modern fitments. We loved watching Llamas from our balcony . A great time was had by all. Thanks to The Inn. Keep doing what your doing. James.

Lovely pub with great staff. We (4 adults, 5 kids, 1 dog) ate here after a long day at Fountains Abbey. The food was amazing and they made our dog feel very welcome. Even our picky eating kids demolished their generously portioned meals (which was a relief!)

Why have we not come here sooner!! Such a lovely place. Came for Sunday lunch (booked that morning) the venue is lovely and the staff just as much! I loved how they offered my dog water as soon as shown to the table, Mum thought they were offering her and said "oh yes please!" I informed her, "not you Mum, it's for the dog, lol!" A fresh dog bowl and a couple of treats were brought over straight away. We were then served very swiftly and everything hit the spot! Molly and Mum loved it in front of the fire! We highly recommend and will be back, thank you all very much.
