Went for a nice long walk then stopped off at The Anchor Inn for some much needed grub. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely delicious. My dog loved his patty as well you cant have food and have nothing for the doggy now can you?

Excellent! The food was outstanding. My wife and I both had the vegetarian option, and did not miss the meat all. The staff were friendly and the venue was excellent. Will definitely visit again. Also Dog friendly. If fact we also had tea and cake after our visit to the Abbey. Photos of me and the tea rooms taken by my wife.

Very accommodating, allowing me to park overnight in their carpark for the price of a meal. Good level ground, dark and quiet. Use of pub toilet during hours of business. Lovely food and staff, although prices a bit steep for your basic pub lunch. Nice and quiet as it was a Monday evening in October. Will go again.

Lovely place with the charm of an English country side cottage turned pub and bake house. Serves mouth watering food with a organic feel and simplicity that gets reflected in the final dish unlike most commercial establishments in bigger towns. This is one of the few places you can grab a bite at in tintern close to the abbey.

Pretty pub adjacent to the magnificent Tintern Abby and the river Wye with beautiful scenery all around. Being a bank holiday the pub was busy today but certainly not full. Dogs are very welcome, however, we had a very long wait for our meal (otgers were also complaining) and trying to get served at the bar was tedious with a confusing queue system that regularly disintegrated into a free for all. Meal of fish and chips came after 45 mins had a tasty battered fish which was piping hot whilst the peas and chips were stone cold. We didn’t complain as we were starving but wouldn’t eat here again - dogs enjoyed it though.

Good pub, excellent food and good range of beers and drinks. Plenty of space inside, large outdoor space, children's play area and decent loos. Parking on site (cash only) refunded on purchase of something in the pub or at the Abbey. We had lunch here and I would recommend.

Great place to stop for lunch before a visit to the Abbey or walk along the river. Lovely old building with plenty of seating inside and out, and two good sized car parks adjacent. Don't forget to take cash for the machines which the pub will reimburse. Interesting menu with lots of local ingredients and a good selection of vegetarian options. First time I've seen a veggie hunters chicken on a menu, and it was delicious. Staff were also very friendly.
