Top quality home made steak and ale pie.
Beer selection not amazing but good range of spirits behind the bar. Man propping up the bar waxing lyrical about the benefits of whiskey like it was penicillin. Classic local experience just without the ale and beer selection to back it up.

Stunning Sunday lunch, food is always great when we visit and staff are fab. Our go to whenever we get visitors from home (NE England)👌

Had Sunday lunch here today with mum dad and my dog. Food was very nice. Fresh vegetables, lovely potatoes and generous portion of meat. The staff were very efficient and gave us a table in the corner for my dog. Soon to be a local, so will have to go back there some time. Thank you and to the chef on such a hot hot day to cook and work.

It would be helpful to update this site because we rang Tues 13th Sept to book a table for 2 at 5.30 the message we got was if any problems I would get a call back so turned up at 5.20 to find that the place was all locked up its all very well saying the opening times have changed on Facebook but not everybody is on that site very disappointed

3 of us ladies visited the Vine for lunch, before a trip to the cinema....lovely relaxing place...no loud music or TVs the staff were very gracious, and the FOOD....well it was lush, well done to the chef. Would recommend the Vine, 5 stars from me..WELL DONE.

We called here lunchtime for some food with our 3 children.

My wife and I ate food and ordered a soft drink, 1 beer and 2 hot chocolates.

We had a chefs lasagne with chips, salad and garlic bread and a light brunch ciabatta with brisket, side salad and chips. Cost £31.00

Good, quick service and the food was very tasty indeed.

Would definitely recommend this place and the prices are not extortionate.
