Destination pub, for excellent well cooked food and good honest flavours, well worth the travel.
Service great and attentive, lighting a bit too bright.
Best around for miles.

Good service and enjoyed the steak ciabatta with chips skin on fries.
Food was served in good time.
Beautiful outside seating area alongside the river bank.

Met some friends here for lunch. We chose it based on good reviews on trip advisor, and it didn't disappoint! Beautiful food and drink (chicken in Parma ham was particularly gorgeous and they have a great choice of gins - I would recommend the pineapple). The staff were friendly and very helpful. I liked the decor and the beer garden overlooked the river which was very pretty. There is a set menu which is good value. They do play music but it didn't overshadow the conversation and added to the welcoming atmosphere. Lovely experience.

My family and I visited on Sunday 30 October and we all enjoyed our Sunday lunch. We gave 10/10 for the lamb, beef and chicken versions; one of the best Sunday lunches we have eaten. In addition, the puddings are to die for, so if you are looking to indulge yourself visit The Brit Pub: great welcome, great atmosphere and lovely food. Oh, and thank you for making such a fuss of our Miniature Schnauzer; he enjoyed himself too!

Food was fine, but confused to say the least. My card details where taken when I booked, my bill came to £55, I left a £5 tip, but was shocked to find they had taken £70 from my account. When I phoned to ask about the discrepancy I was told they wouldn’t have done it. I said I have proof and was told I needed a paper statement! As an electronic one would not suffice. Why or how I have no idea. So as I said food was fine if you don’t mind getting ripped off I would recommend bight. Yours sincerely John Ford. PS keep the £10 buy some soap for the toilet.

Passing through the area, called up and booked a table. On arrival staff were very accommodating and friendly (there was a notice on board to advise no children under 12 years). Ordered the Sunday lunch, including one Vegetarian meal. I'm usually fussy when it comes to Sunday lunch, but it was lush! Also amazing service, would definately go there again if passing (without the kids) and would recommend.
