HM Land Registry - Durham Office

Seek proper legal advise when dealing with the Land Registry. Once they allow something even though they should not. Then your life will become a living hell. This is organisation straight out of 1984. They will waste years and thousands of pounds of your money as they will pass you from pillar to post. Its shameful and kafkaesque. The Vogons off Hitchikers Guide to the galaxy are better at admin than this mob !! Good luck

Very poor , unable to contact them

It is unbelievable that having messaged and written to HM Land Registry, Durham that I have not even received an acknowledgement.
So frustrating.

I've read a few negative reviews regarding Durham Land Registry online before I put in an adverse possession claim which made me apprehensive.

However I found the staff there to be polite and very very helpful. I had to ring numerous time and each time the person would bring up my file and and give me a comprehensive breakdown of what was happening. All my questions were answered clearly and concisely and in a polite manor.

Cannot recommend them enough.

Disgusting service waited over 30 mins for these to answer the phone then to be told I had been charged 7p per minute on top of my provider !!! And still never got through to the right department ! Appalling

Very helpfull. Unfortunately facility I want is not available online. Lady is sending me an email with relevant information.

Complex issues explained patiently and helpfully.

Very officious and unhelpful until you challenge them.
