Newstead Wood School has been pivotal to the academic pursuits of our children since our adventure into Kent Area. Our family have been fascinated and thus attracted by the prowess of this school. Our first daughter Chisom Lizzie Mgbedike graduated with fantastic result as well as Peace Mgbedike. Our love for the school is continuing as Deborah Mgbedike is warming up to join soon. The quality of knowledge impartation is second to none and the family/inclusiveness of all cultures, creeds are alluring. Development of students are evident in the performances of personnel in institutions of higher learning.

Newsteadwood is a school full of mean girls . the actual school is very good but the people in the school are mean and disrespectful and are big fat bullys . I know this because I go to the school right now in years 7 and my experience has been terrible so far

Update: 4 years later, I’d still give it 1 star x

My daughter has been at this school since yr 7 and is now in yr 12. Our experience of the school has been consistently fantastic. The teaching has been exceptional, and lockdown was handled very well. Pre-pandemic, the number and breadth of school trips far outstripped that offered to my other daughter at a different grammar school. Reports and parents' evenings have been informative and not formulaic. The weekly Head's Update newsletter keeps parents in touch with the school and brings numerous opportunities for development - school speakers, careers guidance, suggestions for external activities. Finally, the girls themselves have been friendly, supportive and fun. I am so pleased that my daughter has had the opportunity to go to this school.

its a great school, except the teachers dont care about the children's mental wellbeing, they only care about their grades. Barely do any extra curricular lessons, most the lessons are academic

Not a great school.
All this school cares about is students grades and not their mental health.
This school lacks support for students,as many students suffer from depression, anxiety, anorexia, self harm and more.
And zero support is given.

Many students may feel that anything below an A or A+ is failure and that’s not ok.

Its a great school. Bit more non-academic focus would be good . The pandemic probably reduced opportunities for most outdoor activities and trips.

Really good school and well organized. My daughter is in year 8 and so far I’m happy with the way school is helping and taking care of students.
