Thoroughly enjoyable lunch at the Anchor in Tilsworth. Started with pitta bread and hummus, tzatziki, and tirokafteri. Utterly delicious. Mains were mousaka and some lamb off the "weekend grill". Mousaka was to die for. Lamb was, in all honesty, a little over done and I had to dispense with the cutlery and go 'rogue'. But you know what? The flavours were awesome and I'll forgive them because we were a little late for lunch. Still get 5 stars. I watched others having the kleftico served in the greaseproof paper bag, singe'd at its edges from the heat of the oven and determined I would be coming back here for that! Took a baklava dessert takeaway (too full to eat there and then) and it was perfect. Young waiting staff all offering lovely service, particularly Hanna, who was an utter delight. Thank you Hanna.

Birthday meal. Lovely pub, great food and friendly staff. Visiting area due to being born there 57 years ago, and found the lovely gentleman who now lives where I was born at home. Misson accomplished!

Had a brilliant meal for my 60th birthday on Saturday night. First visit n won’t be the last. The lamb meat platter Greek salad n roast potatoes were Devine. Have told so many people I know to come n visit. Thank you. The staff were so friendly to us n my granddaughter .

A nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I had the grilled chicken, after being talked into it by the waitress . Unfortunately the chicken was extremely dry and no sauces were offered. Every one else enjoyed their food. We had cappuccinos, which had cinnamon on top not chocolate which wasn't great. Also the table was extremely sticky . Overall this for me was not an experience I will rush back for .

Excellent Cretan /Greek food. The family are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The food is excellent. Great atmosphere and a great Menu. Had the Lamb kleftiko and it was so yummy. Will definitely be visiting this pub again. Thanks Yiannis and the team for a lovely time. Really enjoyed the Raki too. Kristos.

Lovely staff and equally lovely food too. Very welcoming and I just keep going back. It also manages to keep the feel of a pub in the front bar,, our preferred spot to hang out and have a bite. That's a rare and prized thing now many have gone down the food only route. A wider variety of ales would be welcome but a minor point and I highly recommend a visit.

The food was really lovely and tasty but I found the portions small and they were not good value for money. Especially the dessert we got the galaktomboureko but it was tiny and it cost £7.25! That is daylight robbery.
Decor is really good and staff are very attentive. Regardless of the low score I do recommend the pub and I plan to visit again at some point soon.

The Greek food is very good . The chicken is always so tasty 😋 and love the feta for starters. The drinks are great too 🦖
